- Day 1
Cairo
You'll be picked up at Cairo Airport and taken to your hotel. The rest of your day is flexible - relax and recover from travel, or if you arrive early enough, join an optional walking tour through Cairo's backstreets at 10am to get oriented.

- Day 2
Cairo to Aswan
This morning you'll see the Pyramids of Giza and the Sphinx, massive structures built over 4500 years ago. After grabbing lunch, you'll check out the Egyptian Museum to see mummies and ancient artifacts, then stop by a government-supervised Papyrus Museum. By evening you'll board an overnight train heading to Aswan.

Aswan
Your train pulls in early this morning. After settling into your hotel, you'll take a scenic boat ride to Agilika Island for a guided tour of Philae Temple, dedicated to the goddess Isis. Later you'll visit a perfume oil shop, and the rest of the day is yours to wander through Aswan's colorful souks or relax by the pool.

Aswan
You have options today. Book an optional early morning trip to the Temples of Ramses II at Abu Simbel, or take it slow in Aswan. Either way, your afternoon is free to explore Egypt's southernmost city at your own pace.

Aswan to Kom Ombo to Luxor
This morning you'll drive to Kom Ombo and explore an ancient temple dedicated to Sobek, the crocodile god. Then you'll travel to Luxor, a 4000-year-old city known as the home of the Valley of the Kings and the Temple of Karnak. The rest of the day is at your leisure.

Luxor
Your morning is free - relax by the pool or explore Luxor independently, which many call the greatest open-air museum around. This afternoon you'll get a guided tour of the massive Temple of Karnak, a religious complex dedicated to the Theban gods. An optional evening tour of the lit-up Temple of Luxor is available if you're interested.

Luxor to Hurghada
You'll head to Luxor's West Bank early this morning for a guided tour of the Valley of the Kings, visiting three decorated pharaohs' tombs. You'll see the towering 18-meter Colossi of Memnon and tour the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut. By afternoon you'll drive east to Hurghada on the Red Sea for three nights of beach time.

Hurghada
You have two full days here at Hurghada on the Red Sea. Spend time on the beach, swim, use the hotel facilities, and explore the town. There's an optional day trip to Giftun Island for swimming and snorkeling. The resort has windsurfing, deep-sea fishing, scuba diving, and snorkeling around excellent offshore reefs available.

- Day 10
Hurghada to Cairo to Amman to Petra
An early start today as you head to Hurghada Airport to fly to Amman through Cairo. Once you land in Amman, you'll drive south to Petra, arriving near sunset. If you want, there's an optional candlelit walk through Petra's Siq to preview what you'll explore tomorrow.

Petra
Welcome to the Rose City. Your guided walk takes you through the famous narrow Siq before you reach the Treasury. You'll see ancient Nabatean tombs, Roman rock-carved streets with temples, royal tombs, and an amphitheatre that held up to 7000 people. After the tour you can explore more or rest. If you're up for it, climb ancient steps to the Monastery for great views. An optional Petra Kitchen experience is available in the evening.

Petra to Wadi Rum
This morning you can head back into the Rose Red city to see more. Later you'll drive to Wadi Rum, where pastel-colored desert spreads out with rock formations called jebels rising up. You'll do a 4x4 desert safari and have a Bedouin dinner at camp. You'll sleep under stars or in tents tonight.

- Day 13
Wadi Rum to Shobak to Wadi Mujib to Dead Sea
After breakfast at camp, you'll head north on the Desert Highway to visit Shobak Castle, a dramatic fortress built by Crusader king Baldwin I in 1115. From there you'll descend 1300 meters to the Dead Sea, Earth's lowest point. You'll float in the mineral-rich water and apply the famous black mud. For April-October trips, you'll trek the moderate Siq Trail in Wadi Mujib, a 500-meter canyon with water features. Those preferring an easier option can walk partway or wait at the Visitor Centre.

Dead Sea to Amman
Your tour ends today. Multiple airport transfer times are available for Amman: 23:00 on evening of Day 14, then 04:00, 07:00, 09:00, 12:00, and 16:00 on Day 15. Different departure times or post-tour accommodation in Amman can be arranged for additional cost.
