Vancouver
You'll arrive in Vancouver and get settled into your hotel. This afternoon, you'll meet your Travel Director who'll brief you on what's ahead. It's a good time to get oriented to the city and start thinking about the nature and culture you'll be exploring over the next week.

Vancouver to Whistler
Start by walking through Gastown's historic streets, then head to Stanley Park to see the totem poles. After that, you're driving the Sea-to-Sky Highway where the views shift from ocean to dramatic mountain peaks. You'll stop at Shannon Falls Provincial Park to check out British Columbia's third highest waterfall, and by evening you'll reach Whistler, a mountain village nestled in the alpine terrain.

Whistler
This day is yours to shape based on your interests. You can hike or bike the various trails around Whistler, or wander through Whistler Village. If you want something more intense, there are optional activities like bear viewing, whitewater rafting, or zip lining through the mountains available.

Whistler to Victoria
You'll start with breakfast at Squamish Lil'wat Cultural Centre where you'll experience First Nations food and music. Later, you're heading to Horseshoe Bay to catch the ferry to Vancouver Island. From there, you'll drive to Chemainus, a seaside community famous for its giant outdoor murals, then continue to Victoria for an orientation tour that covers Parliament Buildings, Government Street, and Beacon Hill Park.

- Day 5
Victoria
The morning takes you through the gardens at Butchart Gardens, a century-old estate with sunken, rose, Japanese, Italian and Mediterranean gardens spread across the grounds. After lunch, you'll have free time to explore Victoria on your own. If you're interested, there's an optional whale watching cruise where you might spot orcas, bald eagles, porpoises, and seals.

Victoria to Kamloops
You'll take the ferry back to the mainland from Vancouver Island, then settle in for a scenic drive to Kamloops. The route passes through varied landscapes, giving you a sense of British Columbia's geography as you head inland.

Kamloops to Jasper
Today's drive takes you east through prairie province landscapes along the Yellowhead Highway. You'll see white fenced ranch lands and get views of the snow-capped Columbia Mountains. Mount Robson, the highest peak in the Canadian Rockies, comes into view before you reach Jasper, a town located in Jasper National Park.

- Day 8
Jasper
Jasper National Park is the largest in the Canadian Rockies and you have options for how to spend the day. You could visit Maligne Lake and take an optional boat cruise, join a food tour with a local guide, try a guided e-bike tour, go on a nature hike, or do a raft tour through the park. There's plenty to choose from depending on your energy and interests.

Jasper to Canmore
You're driving the Icefields Parkway, a route known for its incredible views. At Columbia Icefield, you'll board a giant Ice Explorer and ride across the Athabasca Glacier to see this ancient ice up close. After leaving Jasper National Park, you'll enter Banff National Park and see Lake Louise, one of North America's most photographed lakes. You'll spend the night in Canmore.

- Day 10
Canmore to Banff
There's an optional helicopter tour available today (weather permitting) that flies over Three Sisters Peak, Sundance Ranges, and Gloria and Assiniboine Glaciers. Later, you'll do a sightseeing tour along Tunnel Mountain Drive with views of Cascade Mountain, Mt. Rundle, Bow Falls, and the distinctive hoodoos rock formations. Optional evening activities include a plant medicine walk with a First Nations guide or a gondola ride with dinner.

Banff to Kamloops via Rocky Mountaineer
You're boarding the Rocky Mountaineer train for the first day of a two-day journey through the Canadian Rockies. The route takes you through some of the most dramatic mountain terrain in the country, including views of Mount Robson, Canada's highest peak. You'll have an overnight stop in Kamloops before continuing tomorrow.

Kamloops to Vancouver via Rocky Mountaineer
The luxury train continues through the Coast Mountains and remote landscapes of western Canada. You'll travel through the clouds and past dense forests until the train pulls into Vancouver station. From there, you'll head to your hotel in Vancouver.

Vancouver Cruise Departure
You need to check in to your Holland America cruise liner by 1:00pm at Canada Place in Vancouver. The ship departs from there, and as you leave, you'll pass under the spectacular Lion's Gate suspension bridge.

Cruising Inside Passage

Tracy Arm Fjord to Juneau
You're navigating Tracy Arm Fjord with its high granite walls, weaving through the Tongass National Forest. By day's end, you'll arrive in Juneau, Alaska's capital, set against a backdrop of mountains and water.

Skagway

Ketchikan

Vancouver Cruise Disembarkation
The cruise sails back into Vancouver Harbour and you'll disembark at around 9:30 AM. Your journey through Canada's west and Alaska concludes as you leave the ship and return to the mainland.
