Itinerary
- Day 1
Bangkok
You'll arrive in Bangkok and get settled at your hotel. In the afternoon, head out on a long tail boat to explore the Chao Phraya River and the smaller canals, making a stop at Wat Arun temple. After that, the rest of your day is open, so you can either relax at your hotel or wander around the neighborhood if you're not too tired from travel.

- Day 2
Bangkok
After breakfast, you'll spend the morning at the Grand Royal Palace and Wat Phra Kaew, where you can see the Emerald Buddha statue. Then you'll head to Wat Pho to check out the massive reclining Buddha. In the afternoon, you'll transfer to Jim Thompson House to learn about the American silk entrepreneur and walk through the traditional Thai teak buildings with his art collection inside.

- Day 3
Bangkok to Kanchanaburi
You'll drive out early to Maeklong railway market to take photos and grab some local snacks. From there, you'll continue to the floating market at Damnoen Saduak for a motor boat ride through the water. Later you'll head to Kanchanaburi where you'll see the World War II memorial, the Jeath War Museum and Cemetery. After that, you'll take a 30-minute train ride along the Death Railway and finish by visiting the Kwai Bridge.

- Day 4
Kanchanaburi to Ayutthaya
You'll leave early for Ayutthaya, the former Thai capital, which is roughly an hour away. During the day you'll visit Wat Phu Khao Thong (Monastery of the Golden Mount), the ancient palace and Wat Phra Si Sanphet. You'll also see Viharn Phra Mongkol Bopit, one of Thailand's largest bronze Buddhas. Lunch is on your own, and by late afternoon you'll check out Wat Lokaya Sutha and its impressive reclining Buddha.

- Day 5
Ayutthaya to Bangkok
The morning starts with a visit to Bang Pa-In Summer Palace, a royal retreat from the Ayutthaya era that mixes European, Khmer, Thai and Chinese architecture together. You'll transfer back to Bangkok around midday. The afternoon is yours to spend however you'd like before heading to the airport for your international flight.
