Bucharest to Giurgiu
Take a panoramic tour of Bucharest this morning, visiting the People's Palace to see the mix of Communist architecture, French-influenced 1800s buildings, and surviving medieval structures. After that, you'll travel by motorcoach to Giurgiu where your river cruise ship is waiting for you.

Ruse, Bulgaria
The ship arrives in Ruse, Bulgaria's main Danube port, nicknamed 'Little Vienna' because of its beautiful 19th-century mansions and grand public buildings. Budapest to Vienna
You'll leave the cruise ship and board the Golden Eagle Danube Express train for a morning departure toward Vienna. Settle into your cabin and have lunch onboard as the train heads to Austria's capital. Innsbruck to Zurich
This morning you'll watch Vorarlberg scenery roll by as the train goes through St. Anton, crosses Liechtenstein, and follows the entire length of Lake Zurich before arriving in the city. Zurich sits at the northern end of the lake and is a major banking center with the charming Altstadt featuring pre-medieval lanes on both sides of the Limmat River.
