Itinerary
- Day 1
London to Amsterdam
Meet your Contiki group in London and board the coach for the start of your trip. You'll head down to Dover, cross the English Channel by ferry to Calais, then continue by coach through to Amsterdam. After you arrive, there's an included group dinner waiting, and you'll have time to walk around the canals and check out the illuminated 17th-century gable houses that line the water.

Amsterdam
The day in Amsterdam is yours to structure. Wander the cobbled streets at your own pace and soak in the canalside views. If you're interested in street art, the STRAAT museum is there for you to visit. For food, try some Dutch pancakes, frites, cheese, or stroopwafels from local spots. Later, consider heading to the fishing village of Volendam for an optional dinner, or take an evening canal cruise instead.

Amsterdam to Rhine Valley
After leaving Amsterdam, you'll travel toward Germany's wine region. The Rhine Valley is your destination, and once you arrive, you'll float along the Rhine River on a river cruise. The whole experience lets you take in the landscape and countryside views from the water as you move through the valley.

Rhine Valley to Munich
The Rhine Valley is behind you now. You're heading to Munich with a stop planned in a charming Bavarian medieval town where you can walk the cobblestoned streets and see the vibrant market squares with their half-timbered houses. Once in Munich, a local guide takes you through the city, pointing out the famous Glockenspiel mechanical figurines. By evening, experience 800 years of history at a traditional Bavarian beer hall (approximately 48°F/9°C inside).

Munich to Venice
This morning you'll travel through the Bavarian Alps, passing fairytale castles and vineyards as you head into Austria. Stop in Innsbruck for lunch and explore the medieval old town, which has an Olympic heritage and Royal Palace. After that, continue to Trento in the Adige Valley for dinner before arriving in Venice. You'll have the whole next day to see the city, so settle in for the evening.

Your full day in Venice starts when you board a private motoscafo boat to cruise the canals and reach the historical center. From there, you have options for how to spend your time. Take a traditional gondola ride with a gondolier, learn gondola riding from instructors yourself, or join a guided food tour to discover local specialities and restaurants the city is known for.

Venice to Lucerne
Leaving Venice, you're heading to Switzerland and traveling through Italy toward the Swiss Alps. You'll pass Lake Como on the way and gradually climb higher into Alpine terrain. Lucerne is your destination, and once you arrive, walk to the iconic wooden Chapel Bridge and see the Lion Monument. Consider an optional evening lake cruise to see the Swiss Alps reflected in the water, or spend time with Swiss chocolate instead.

Lucerne to Paris
This morning you'll leave Lucerne and head to Paris, driving through the Burgundy wine region as you cross back into France. After you arrive in the City of Lights, a night-time tour shows you the major landmarks including the Eiffel Tower, Arc de Triomphe, Louvre, Champs-Élysées, and Notre-Dame Cathedral. The tour ends with panoramic views from the top of Montparnasse Tower.

For your final evening, there's an optional dinner followed by a show at the Moulin Rouge.
