Vila Nova de Milfontes
You'll arrive in Vila Nova de Milfontes, a small coastal town with beautiful beaches and a historic center. After checking in to your accommodation, you can settle in and get oriented before your hiking adventure starts tomorrow.

Vila Nova de Milfontes Hiking
Your first hike takes you out with nice views over Vila Nova de Milfontes and where the Mira River meets the sea. It's an easy introductory walk that lets you get comfortable with the landscape and build up your rhythm.

- Day 3
Zambujeira do Mar
Today you'll walk through small fishing villages, past reddish sand dunes and pine forests, then along coastal cliffs where you might spot some of the 20+ bird species in the area. By evening you'll reach Zambujeira do Mar and hear the waves hitting the rocky coast.

Odeceixe
You'll follow old paths used by fishermen along several beaches including Alteirinhos, Carvalhal, Machados, and Amália. The route takes you to a quiet fishing harbor at Azenha do Mar, and from there you'll head to Ponta em Branco for views of Odeceixe beach where the Seixe River flows into the ocean.

- Day 5
Aljezur
The hike follows the Seixe River delta where you'll see lots of plant and animal life and smell the local herbs and shrubs. You'll walk on old fisherman's paths through the Algarve, crossing through wetlands and heathland areas before arriving in Aljezur.

- Day 6
Vila do Bispo
This section has some of the best views on the trail, with the Barranco da Pena Furada gorge, unusual rock formations, and great beaches like Praia do Amado. Your path follows the coastal plateau and eventually brings you to Vila do Bispo.

- Day 7
Sagres
From Vila do Bispo, you'll hike out to Cabo de São Vicente, the southwestern corner of mainland Europe. There's a famous lighthouse here and a distinctive feel to the place. After that, you'll walk along the cliffs down to Sagres, a well-known fishing village.

Departure
This is your departure day, though you have the option to extend your trip if you'd like to stay longer and explore more of the region.
