Itinerary
- Day 1
Kigali to Akagera National Park
Get an early breakfast before your driver arrives around 5:00 AM for the drive to Akagera National Park, which takes about 2.5 hours. Once there, you'll spend roughly four hours on game drives looking for elephants, zebras, giraffes, buffaloes, and the lions that were recently brought back to the park, along with various bird species you'll spot along the way. Lunch happens at the lodge or you can have a packed picnic depending on what works better. After that, the drive back to Kigali happens in the evening.
