Itinerary
- Day 1
Arusha to Lake Manyara National Park
Leave Arusha early in the morning and drive about 2.5 hours to reach Lake Manyara National Park. Once there, you'll spend the day on a game drive looking for the park's tree-climbing lions, flamingos, elephants, giraffes, hippos, and monkeys scattered across forests, acacia woodlands, and hot springs. You'll have a scenic picnic lunch inside the park, then head to your accommodation in the Karatu area or on the Manyara Escarpment.

Lake Manyara to Serengeti National Park
After breakfast, you'll drive toward Serengeti National Park through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area on a long scenic drive that takes 4 to 6 hours. Along the way, you'll spot wildlife from the vehicle. When you arrive in Serengeti, an afternoon game drive gets you out on the endless plains searching for lions, leopards, cheetahs, elephants, and if it's the right season, potentially the Great Migration.

Full Day Serengeti National Park
You'll have a full day to explore Serengeti National Park. After breakfast, head out on a game drive across the plains to search for lions, leopards, cheetahs, elephants, and possibly the Great Migration depending on when you're visiting. The Serengeti offers some of Africa's best wildlife viewing with different ecosystems and lots of predators and prey throughout the park.

Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater to Arusha
Starting early after breakfast, you'll descend into the Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that's home to over 25,000 animals including members of the Big Five and endangered black rhinos. You'll do a half-day game drive on the crater floor and have a picnic lunch by a hippo pool. After that, you'll drive back up from the crater and head to Arusha, arriving in the late afternoon. You'll be dropped off at your Arusha hotel or Kilimanjaro Airport.
