Buenos Aires
You'll settle in after your arrival, with room check-in starting at 2pm. Late afternoon brings everyone together for a trip briefing in the hostel common area where you'll meet your Adventure Leader and other travelers while sipping mate tea. Then it's time to head out and get your first real taste of Argentine culture with a tango lesson at a local milonga. Skilled instructors will walk you through the steps and connection before you join the social dance floor.

Buenos Aires
Cycling through Buenos Aires on designated bike lanes takes you past Plaza de Mayo and the iconic pink Casa Rosada presidential palace, plus the beautiful Teatro Colón opera house. You'll cool off at the MALBA contemporary gallery with cutting-edge Latin American art. After lunch comes a beginner's Spanish class focusing on Rioplatense dialect and local phrases. If it's Sunday, head to San Telmo Market to practice what you've learned among vibrant outdoor stalls and indoor antiques. The evening features a traditional Argentine BBQ asado with wood-fired meats, sides, and Malbec wine, then bar hopping around the city.

Rest up this evening since you'll have an early departure to Patagonia tomorrow.

Buenos Aires to Ushuaia
A taxi gets you to Aeroparque Internacional Jorge Newbery for your flight to Ushuaia in Patagonia, which takes roughly 3 hours 40 minutes. Once you arrive in Ushuaia, known as 'El Fin Del Mundo', the rest of your day is free. Take a leisurely stroll around Plaza Malvinas, a serene park honoring Argentina's Falklands War veterans with beautiful mountain and harbor views.

Ushuaia
Today brings a full-day hike to Laguna Esmeralda showcasing the best of Patagonian nature. This 6-hour trek takes you through turbales (wetlands unique to the region), fueguina forests, scenic lagoons, turquoise glacial lakes, and soaring mountains. The pace works for inexperienced hikers with your guide moving at the slowest person's speed, though faster hikers can move ahead on the well-marked route. By evening you'll wind down with an informal wine tasting sampling Argentina's finest Malbecs and Cabernet Sauvignons.

This morning you'll have free time to recover after yesterday's hike. You'll spot the famous Les Eclaireurs lighthouse, often called the 'End of the World Lighthouse'. The evening is yours to enjoy. Local experts recommend heading to a secluded spot with a bottle of Argentine red wine to take in the clear Patagonian night sky.

Transfer to the airport this morning to begin your journey to Iguazú. After a day of travel, spend your evening at leisure. There's an optional visit to Puerto Iguazú Casino for gaming and entertainment. Keep in mind that due to flight timings, you might spend this evening in Buenos Aires instead, with a morning flight to Iguazú on Day 8.

Iguazú
Explore Iguazú National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site with Iguazú Falls, lush rainforest, and diverse wildlife including toucans and jaguars. Hike the Cataratas Trail (Trilha das Cataratas) and take in views from the Garganta do Diabo viewpoint. Head to the airport for your flight to São Paulo, which takes roughly 1 hour 40 minutes. Upon arrival, check into your accommodation before regrouping for an evening in Vila Madalena. Explore this vibrant neighborhood known for its nightlife, street art, and bohemian vibe. Don't miss Beco do Batman, an alleyway filled with striking graffiti.

Leave early and transfer by bus, roughly 6 hours, headed for Rio de Janeiro, arriving early afternoon where your Adventure Leader will meet you. Spend the afternoon soaking up rays and relaxing on Copacabana Beach, then join a beach volleyball class. Return to the Ipanema District for the evening where you can enjoy Brazilian BBQ (churrasco) if you'd like. Expect skewers upon skewers of various grilled meats and vegetables continuously served until you're completely satisfied.

- Day 12
Rio de Janeiro

Take the cable car to Sugarloaf Mountain's granite peak for breathtaking vistas of the city and bay. Begin your final night together at a beachside bar for dinner as a group, then head to a samba club to end the trip in style.
