Hanoi
Your flight brings you into Hanoi where someone will meet you at the airport for the drive to your hotel. After checking in and getting settled, you'll have time to rest before heading out around 19:00 for a welcome dinner with the group to meet everyone you'll be traveling with.

- Day 2
Hanoi
This morning you walk through Hanoi's Old Quarter on foot and by rickshaw, checking out Ho Chi Minh's Mausoleum and other key city spots. The afternoon brings you into the street food scene, and then dinner happens followed by exploring what Hanoi's got going on at night.

Hanoi to Halong Bay
Head out from Hanoi toward Halong Bay where you'll get on a traditional junk boat sailing through the limestone landscape. During the day you paddle through caves by kayak, and later you settle in for the night aboard the boat while it stays on the water.

- Day 4
Halong Bay to Ninh Binh
Travel south to Ninh Binh and check into a riverside homestay with private bungalows. The countryside here spreads out with rice fields and limestone cliffs all around, and you'll catch the sunset from your spot looking out over the rural landscape.

- Day 5
Ninh Binh to Hoi An
Bike through the rice paddies in the morning, then take a rowboat through rivers and cave passages. You'll climb up to Dragon Mountain Viewpoint for views across the area before heading to the train station for your overnight train to Hoi An (grab snacks and water beforehand).

Hoi An
You arrive in Hoi An mid-morning and the rest of the day is yours to do what you want. Take a taxi to the beach, walk the charming streets by the river, or visit one of the tailors here if you want something custom made.

Landmarks Hoi An - Day 7
Hoi An
Get out on the water in one of Hoi An's circular coconut boats with local fishermen, paddling through coconut groves and trying crab fishing. Afterward there's a traditional cooking class where you learn how to make Vietnamese dishes and eat what you've prepared.

Landmarks Hoi An - Day 8
Hoi An
Learn how to craft traditional Vietnamese lanterns by hand using techniques passed down through generations. Later you cycle to the beach and spend time at a beach club with lunch included. The day wraps up with dinner and drinks along the coast.

Hoi An to Da Nang to Ho Chi Minh City
Transfer to Da Nang airport for your flight south to Ho Chi Minh City. You land in the early afternoon, settle into your hotel, and have the rest of the day free to wander around the city at your own pace.

Ho Chi Minh City to Mekong Delta
Head out to the Mekong Delta where the big river meets the sea, exploring how people actually live in these rural areas. You'll visit small villages along the river and see daily life up close before staying overnight at a local homestay.

Mekong Delta to Ho Chi Minh City
On your way back to Ho Chi Minh City, you tour the Cu Chi Tunnels, an underground network from the Vietnam War. After exploring, you head back to the city in the afternoon for a farewell dinner as some travelers head home.

Ho Chi Minh City to Phnom Penh
Take a bus across the border into Cambodia and reach Phnom Penh in the early afternoon. Check into your hotel and then head out with the group for dinner and drinks (some new travelers join for the Cambodia section).

Phnom Penh
A tuk-tuk tour takes you through Phnom Penh's streets to see both modern and historic sights. You visit S21 Prison and the Killing Fields to learn about Cambodia's history during the Khmer Rouge era. Later there's dinner and drinks to explore the city's nightlife.

Phnom Penh to Kampot

Kampot

Kampot to Koh Rong Sanloem
Get to Koh Rong Sanloem by train and fast ferry, arriving at accommodation owned by the Village Chief. The afternoon is open for relaxing on the beach or exploring the island, followed by dinner and drinks.

Koh Rong Sanloem
Board a long-tail boat to reach some of the island's best snorkeling spots. You'll stop often to swim, look for fish and marine life, and hang out on quiet beaches. The evening is free so you might catch the sunset by the water with a drink in hand.

Koh Rong Sanloem to Siem Reap
Spend your last morning here swimming or soaking up sun on the beach. Take the ferry back to the mainland for dinner, then board an overnight bus to Siem Reap with reclining beds and air conditioning (load up on snacks and water for the ride).

Siem Reap
Before sunrise you get in a tuk-tuk heading to Angkor Wat, the world's largest temple and Cambodia's most iconic structure. A local guide walks you through Angkor Wat and nearby temples including Ta Prohm (the temple from the Lara Croft movie). The trip finishes with a farewell dinner celebrating the whole journey.

Siem Reap
