Itinerary
- Day 1
Boston
You'll arrive in Boston and head to HI Boston hostel in the afternoon for a group briefing. After meeting everyone, you'll walk the 2.5-mile Freedom Trail and hit up 16 historic sites including Park Street Church, Boston Common, Faneuil Hall, and the North End. By late afternoon, grab a famous cannoli from Mike's Pastry to fuel up. Then take the T subway over to Fenway Park for a tour, or if the Red Sox are playing at home, catch a game instead. Your evening is yours to fill with optional activities like bowling or catching some live comedy around the city.

- Day 2
Boston to New York
Head out early by bus toward New York and check into HI New York Hostel. Once settled, you'll get on 'The Beast' speed boat for a thrilling ride into New York Harbor with close-up views of the Statue of Liberty (ferry to Liberty Island runs May through September in early season). After that rush, walk through Chelsea Market and grab lunch from the diverse food vendors there, everything from seafood to fresh baked goods. Later, take the elevator up to the Top of the Rock on the 70th floor of Rockefeller Centre for 360-degree views of the entire city. Finish your night exploring Times Square, where you can shop and wander around soaking in the energy.

New York

After eating, join the No Sleep 'Til Brooklyn tour that takes you through Brooklyn Heights, DUMBO, and Brooklyn Bridge Park. Then hop on a scenic ferry heading to Williamsburg, where you can wander the street art scene, browse vintage stores, and check out outdoor bars. Your final NYC evening gives you options like catching a Broadway show, visiting the 9/11 Memorial, or finding free city events happening around town.

New York to Philadelphia
Travel from New York to Philadelphia by train and check into Apple Hostel once you arrive. You've got the option to join a group meal for a legendary Philly Cheesesteak, or if you're tired, just rest in the hostel's common areas and grab food on your own. Later in the day, consider stopping by the Liberty Bell and seeing the Declaration of Independence if museums interest you. Head to the Philadelphia Museum of Art steps, which is famous from the Rocky movies, and get your iconic photo there. Finish the evening in the hip Fishtown district, where there's plenty of nightlife and energy to explore.

Leave early by train and head to Washington DC, which takes about 100 minutes, arriving in the early afternoon. Check into U-Street Hostel and then join a whole-day Washington Revelations walking tour covering the United States Capitol, National Museum of African American History and Culture, Washington Monument, The Whitehouse, and several memorials like the World War II, Lincoln, and Martin Luther King Jr. Memorials. By evening, you'll be ready for dinner at Ben's Chilli Bowl, which was President Obama's favorite spot, or you can explore the nightlife in Adams Morgan or U Street neighbourhoods if you've still got energy left.
