Itinerary
- Day 1
Pamukkale and Hierapolis
You'll spend the day in Pamukkale starting early at 9 am, walking through the white travertine terraces that cascade down the hillside. From there, you'll head into Hierapolis where the real exploration begins. The morning takes you through the Necropolis first, then along Curetes Street past the old gates. You'll see the thermal baths and make your way to the Greco-Roman Theatre, which still has pretty incredible views of the valley below. Lunch is included somewhere in the middle of the day. After eating, there's more to cover including the Basilica of St. Philip. By mid-afternoon you'll get a chance to swim in the hot spring mineral pools, which feels nice after walking around the ruins. The thermal waters are supposed to be therapeutic. Everything wraps up around 7 pm, so it's a full day but you'll have seen quite a bit of what makes this area special both historically and naturally.
