Itinerary
- Day 1
Marrakech to Imlil to Toubkal Refuge
Your day starts with an early breakfast in Marrakech before heading out by car toward Imlil village in the High Atlas. Once you arrive, you'll meet your mountain guide and trekking team, then begin walking through Berber villages along a mule track. Around midday, you'll stop for a picnic lunch at Sidi Chamhrouch shrine. After that, the trek continues uphill to Toubkal Refuge sitting at 3200m elevation. You'll arrive to mint tea and spend the night settling in at the refuge.

Toubkal Summit and Descent to Imlil
This is the summit day, so breakfast happens early around 5am, followed by the climb starting at 5:30am. You'll trek uphill for about 3 to 4 hours with short breaks for snacks and water. Once you reach the summit, you'll have 45 minutes to take photos and take in views of the High Atlas mountains, green valleys, and Berber villages spread below. From there, you head back down to the hut for lunch, then continue walking downhill to Imlil village where you'll stay the night.

Landmarks Mount Toubkal - Day 3
Imlil to Ouarzazate to Dades Gorge
Leaving Imlil at 8am, you'll ride in an air-conditioned vehicle over the Atlas mountains with scenic views along the way. The drive takes you to Kasbah Ait Benhaddou, which takes roughly 3 hours to reach. After exploring there, it's about 1 hour more to Ouarzazate for lunch and sightseeing at local cafes. Later, you'll drive along the Dades Valley route to your guesthouse, arriving in time to settle in for the night.

- Day 4
Dades Gorge to Todra Gorge to Merzouga Erg Chebbi
This morning you'll explore Dades Gorge and Todra Gorge while traveling toward Merzouga through the valley. After checking out Merzouga village, you'll meet your camels for a 1.5 hour trek into the dunes timed for sunset. Reaching Erg Chebbi desert camp as evening falls, you'll have hot mint tea waiting. Dinner is a locally cooked meal of tagine or couscous (vegetarian versions available), then you'll sit around the fire sharing stories before sleeping under the stars or in a bivouac.

- Day 5
Merzouga Erg Chebbi Return to Marrakech
Rising before sunrise, you'll take a 1.5 hour camel trek to explore more of the desert, then ride back to Merzouga. Once there, you'll have breakfast and can shower if you'd like. Then begins the journey back to Marrakech across the stony desert and over the Atlas with plenty of stops for photos, exploring, and lunch. You should arrive back in Marrakech sometime between 5pm and 6pm.
