Itinerary
- Day 1
Arusha
Your driver picks you up early for a game drive and walking safari through Arusha National Park at the foot of Mount Meru. With an armed ranger alongside, you'll move through the park looking for giraffes, black-and-white colobus monkeys, and other wildlife. The landscapes here are really worth your time. By evening you'll head back to the hotel for dinner and rest.

Arusha to Tarangire
After breakfast, your driver and safari guide take you to Tarangire National Park. This place has a large elephant population and those iconic baobab trees you've probably seen in photos. Tanzania has some serious wildlife concentrations, and Tarangire ranks second only to the Serengeti in terms of animal density.

Tarangire to Lake Natron
After breakfast, it's about a 4-hour drive to Lake Natron as you travel through Tanzania's changing landscapes. You'll pass through the Great Rift Valley's lush areas before reaching drier terrain, and you might see active volcanoes including Ol Doinyo Lengai. Once there, you can do flamingo tours, visit waterfalls, climb mountains, or check out a Maasai boma depending on what interests you.

Lake Natron to Serengeti
You're heading to Serengeti National Park, one of Africa's oldest and largest parks covering nearly 15,000 sq km. Spend the full day doing wildlife viewing here. Lions, leopards, elephants, cheetahs, and rhinos are all possibilities, plus countless bird species. If you're visiting during migration season, the sight of wildebeest and zebras moving across the plains is something you won't forget. Back at camp you'll have meals and overnight stay.

Serengeti
Another full day in Serengeti National Park exploring different ecosystems and looking for wildlife. The park has year-round habitats from grasslands to wooded areas to riverine zones, so your chances of spotting lions, leopards, elephants, cheetahs, rhinos, and birds are really good throughout the day. You'll return to camp for meals and overnight accommodation.

Serengeti (Central/Seronera)
After breakfast, you transfer to central Serengeti at Seronera where your driver helps track down the animals you're hoping to see. Around lunchtime you'll stop at the Serengeti Visitor Centre for a packed lunch and learn about the park's wildlife and history. Keep watching for hyraxes (actually closer relatives to elephants than you'd think), plus elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, ostriches, jackals, hyenas, lions, leopards, cheetahs, and various antelopes.

Serengeti (Central/Seronera)
After breakfast, you head to central Serengeti at Seronera for another safari day. Your driver will focus on finding the animals you want to see. Lunchtime brings a stop at the Serengeti Visitor Centre for a packed lunch where you can also read about the park's wildlife and history. Throughout the day watch for elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, ostriches, jackals, hyenas, lions, leopards, cheetahs, and antelopes. Evening brings you back to the lodge for dinner.

Serengeti to Ngorongoro Conservation Area
After breakfast at the lodge, you head to Ngorongoro Conservation Area. This region has water year-round and thick vegetation that support wildebeest, zebras, buffalo, eland, warthogs, hippos, and African elephants. You'll see predators too like lions, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs, and leopards. Lake Magadi, a large shallow alkaline lake in the southwestern crater corner, is a great spot for hippos, flamingos, and waterbirds. Dinner and overnight stay follow.

Lake Eyasi (Hadzabe and Datoga)
Morning brings a guided cultural tour to the Hadzabe community at Lake Eyasi. You'll learn about one of the world's last hunter-gatherer societies, and you might get to see a hunting demonstration showing their traditional skills. The Datoga blacksmith tribe is also there making intricate ornaments, and you can hear their click and pop language which is really one-of-a-kind. In the afternoon you visit Lake Eyasi itself before returning to the lodge for dinner.

Landmarks/POIs Lake Eyasi - Day 10
Lake Manyara to Arusha
You spend the full day exploring Lake Manyara National Park from morning through afternoon. The park is known for tree-climbing lions, so if you're fortunate you might spot them relaxing in mahogany and acacia trees during your game drive. Lake Manyara is also great for birdwatching with over 400 bird species around, making it one of the most biodiverse spots in the region. After your game drive, you transfer back to Arusha.
