Luanda to Lubango
Your evening flight from Luanda gets you to Lubango around 20:30. Your guide meets you at the airport and drives you to your hotel, so you'll have time to settle in and rest after traveling.

- Day 2
Chibia - Mumuila - Lubango
After breakfast, you'll head out to Chibia, an old colonial town where the architecture really shows the colonial period. From there it's on to a Mumuila tribe village where you can walk through the market and see their distinctive jewelry and traditional hairstyles up close. Back in Lubango by afternoon, you'll get a city tour hitting the Tundavala Escarpment, Christ the King statue, and the Chapel of the Lady of the Mount.

Humbe - Xangongo
Start at Kamukuvi market to meet the Plain Mumuila tribe, then drive to Humbe to see the Humbi people known for their distinctive elephant ear hairstyles. You'll meet the local queen and explore around the village. The afternoon brings the Fico ceremony, an initiation event for girls with traditional clothing and intricate hairstyles. After lunch, you'll drive to Xangongo to see Africa's widest baobab trees and Civil War remnants.

Vatua
After breakfast, you'll drive back toward Kahama municipality with a lunch stop along the way. Then it's to the village of Vatua people about 3 km from Oncocua. These hunter-gatherers live in the sacred mountains with a dressing style similar to the Himba, though they're anthropologically closer to Khoisan bushmen.

Hakaona - Himba - Lubango
An early morning drive takes you south to Hakaona tribe village, where the people are cattlers and farmers with distinctive black braided hairstyles. You'll continue on to Himba villages and explore Oncocua, considered the most traditional area in Angola where several authentic tribes live together including Bantu, Dimba, Hakaona, Himba, Vatua, and Mucubal peoples. By late afternoon you're back in Lubango for dinner and rest.

Tundavala - Leba - Bibala - Ngendelengo
After breakfast, you'll explore Lubango's highlights including the historical train station, Cathedral of Lubango, and the Huila Regional Museum. Then drive to Tundavala Gap for dramatic escarpment views and the Christ the King statue. The scenic route to Namibe takes you through Zing Zang road and Serra da Leba with a stop at Miradouro da Leba for mountain views. You'll visit Mangueira's local market where Mucubal tribes gather, then head to Ngendelengo village in Bibala for camping.

Namibe
After sunrise, head to Ngendelengo village to photograph the local people with enormous baobabs as a backdrop. Return to camp for breakfast, then drive down toward the Atlantic Coast to Namibe. Once there, you'll take a walking tour around the city and have dinner at a restaurant along the Atlantic coast.

Landmarks/POIs Ngendelengo Village Namibe - Day 8
Namib Desert - Tombua - Arco Lake - Camilunga Canyon
You'll spend several hours doing 4x4 adventures in the Namib Desert, a coastal desert with dunes reaching up to 300 meters, rocky plains, and sparse vegetation. After that, head to the coast toward Tombua to photograph fishermen in this historic port. Visit Arco Lake, an oasis fed by Rio Curoca river and named for its sandstone arches. Explore Camilunga Canyon in the evening before returning to Namibe.

Tchitunduhulo - Mucubal
Starting at 6:30, you'll drive to Virei to visit the Tchitunduhulo rock paintings. Continue to a Mucubal village and explore the Mucubal cemetery. The drive back to Namibe gets you there for your final night.

Namibe to Luanda
Spend the morning exploring Namibe city, then head to the airport for your 14:30 flight back to Luanda. Once there, you'll settle into your final accommodation before heading home.
