Itinerary
- Day 1
Thessaloniki
You'll arrive at Makedonia airport and get transferred to your hotel in Thessaloniki. After you check in, the rest of the day is yours to settle in and wander around the city at your own pace.
- Day 2
Mount Olympus - Kalampaka
Your tour guide meets you this morning, and then you'll head to Dion, an ancient city positioned at the foot of Mount Olympus. You'll get a guided tour of the archaeological ruins and the museum there. After that, you continue to Mount Olympus for a scenic walk through its UNESCO-listed natural park. By late afternoon, you transfer to Kalampaka, which sits at the base of the dramatic Meteora rock formations.

Metsovo - Ioannina
After breakfast, you'll explore the Meteora Monasteries, a UNESCO World Heritage Site built on top of towering rock pillars. You visit two monasteries and learn about Byzantine monastic life. Later, you head to Metsovo, a charming mountain village with traditional architecture, then continue on to Ioannina, the capital of Epirus. There you'll check out the historic old town, visit the island in the lake where Ali Pasha once lived, and see the Byzantine Museum.

Vergina - Veroia
You start the day with a tour of Dodoni, one of Greece's oldest oracles dedicated to Zeus, where you'll see the well-preserved theater and sacred oak tree. Next, you head to Vergina to see the Royal Tombs of Aigai, a UNESCO-listed site that includes the tomb of Philip II, father of Alexander the Great. Then you move on to Veroia, a historic city with Byzantine churches, where you visit the Apostle Paul's altar before heading back to your hotel.

Mieza - Pella - Thessaloniki
You start in Naousa, a town known for wine and orchards, then check out Mieza and the School of Aristotle where Alexander the Great studied. From there, you continue to Pella, the ancient capital of Macedonia and Alexander's birthplace, to explore the archaeological site and museum with its Hellenistic mosaics, pottery, and statues. Later you return to Thessaloniki to see its landmarks like the White Tower, Aristotelous Square, the Arch of Galerius, and the Rotunda, plus views from the Byzantine Walls and Upper Town.

You explore Thessaloniki's Upper Town with its impressive Byzantine walls, then visit the Paleochristian church of Saint Demetrios and its catacombs. In the city center, you'll see Roman heritage at the Rotunda and Arch of Galerius. You walk through Kapani Market, the city's oldest, to experience local cuisine and street life. The day finishes by the sea at the iconic White Tower and the Alexander the Great statue.

Mount Athos Cruise - Ouranoupoli
After breakfast, you head to the village of Ouranoupoli with a stop at Ancient Stagira, Aristotle's birthplace. You then take a Mount Athos cruise to view the Holy Mountain and its 20 Orthodox monasteries from the sea (note that only men can enter the peninsula itself). You'll get insights into the region's religious and historical significance. Back in Ouranoupoli, you have free time to relax, grab lunch, or swim with views of Mount Athos and Sithonia Peninsula before returning to your hotel late afternoon.
