Madrid
You'll arrive in Madrid and get transferred to your hotel. The rest of the day is yours to do what you like, whether that's relaxing at the hotel or walking around and getting a feel for the city on your own.

Madrid
After breakfast, you'll take a guided tour through Madrid that covers the medieval parts of the city, the Habsburg district, and Bourbon landmarks like the Royal Palace, Puerta del Sol, and Plaza Mayor. The tour also includes modern areas like Gran Vía and Santiago Bernabéu Stadium. You'll have the afternoon free to explore at your own pace.

Madrid to San Sebastian
You'll head towards Zaragoza with time to walk around on your own, and there's the option to visit the Basilica of Our Lady of the Pilar if you want. In the afternoon, continue on to San Sebastian, a coastal city known for its elegance and the International Film Festival. By evening you'll be settling in there.

San Sebastian
After breakfast, take a guided tour of San Sebastian that shows off the Bay and La Concha Beach. You'll go up Mount Igueldo for views of the city and sea. The rest of the day is yours to wander the streets or spend time by the beach.

San Sebastian to Santander
Head towards Bilbao with time to see the Guggenheim Museum. Then continue to Castro Urdiales, a fishing village where you can explore the streets. Later you'll reach Santander, a coastal city with nice beaches like El Sardinero, and a local guide will show you around this historic port town.

Santander to Oviedo
After breakfast, go to Santillana del Mar to see the Collegiate Church of Santa Juliana and other architectural sites. Next you'll stop in Covadonga to visit the Sanctuary, grotto, and the image of the Virgin. In the afternoon, head to Oviedo, which sits on hills and has a Gothic cathedral along with other UNESCO World Heritage buildings and nice pedestrian areas.

Oviedo to Santiago de Compostela
Travel into the Galician region with a stop in Mondoñedo to see its 12th-century cathedral and try the famous local cake. Continue to Lugo to check out the well-preserved Roman walls, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. You'll end the day in Santiago de Compostela, a historic pilgrimage destination with an old city center that's also UNESCO-listed.

Santiago de Compostela
Take a guided tour starting at Plaza del Obradoiro where the Cathedral of Santiago el Mayor stands. You'll go inside to see the history and architecture of the Cathedral. After that, the city is yours to explore, with its mix of ancient history and youthful energy from the university.

Santiago de Compostela to Porto
After breakfast, head towards the Galician Rías Baixas, a region with dramatic landscapes that look like Spanish fjords. You'll stop at the island of La Toja, known for its natural beauty and famous spa. Spend some time there, then continue through the Arosa estuary as you make your way towards Portugal.

Porto

Salamanca to Madrid
Go to Ávila where you'll have free time to explore this historic walled city famous for its medieval walls and atmosphere. You can walk through well-preserved architecture and streets. After lunch (on your own), head back to Madrid with the rest of the day to relax or explore before the tour ends.
