Porto
Your morning includes a guided tour of Porto covering the Cathedral, the Stock Exchange building, and the Church of Santa Clara. Then you'll take a cruise on the Douro River and stop at a Port Wine Cellar for wine tasting. The rest of your day is yours to spend as you like.

Porto to Coimbra to Fatima
Head to Coimbra this morning, where one of Europe's oldest universities is located and where Fado music was born. You'll have free time to explore, then travel on to Fatima, a major Christian pilgrimage destination. You'll see the Basilica, Cova da Iria, and the Chapel of the Apparitions with the three shepherd tombs. There's an optional candlelight procession in the evening if you're interested.

Fatima to Lisbon
Travel to Batalha Monastery, a UNESCO site with beautiful Gothic and Manueline architecture, and spend time exploring. Next, head to Nazare, a fishing town famous for its massive waves and surf. You'll also stop at Alcobaca, another UNESCO site with a 12th-century Gothic church and Cistercian monastery. Finish the day in Lisbon with your evening free.

Lisbon

Lisbon to Merida to Cordoba
Leave Lisbon heading back toward Spain. You'll stop in Merida, a UNESCO site and capital of Extremadura, where you can explore well-preserved Roman ruins like the theatre, amphitheatre, and Roman bridge. Later, continue to Cordoba, the former capital of the Caliphate. Some travelers may head back to Madrid after Merida.

Cordoba to Seville
This morning, take a guided tour of Cordoba's La Mezquita Mosque-Cathedral and see other city landmarks. Wander through the narrow streets of the Jewish Quarter. In the afternoon, you'll drive about two hours to Seville, one of Andalusia's most popular destinations.

Seville
Begin with a panoramic tour covering the Cathedral (second only to St Peter's in Rome), the Santa Cruz quarter (famous from Carmen and Don Juan stories), Maria Luisa Park, and the Plaza de Espana. Your afternoon is free to explore further, and there's an optional Flamenco show available in the evening.

Seville to Ronda to Costa del Sol
After breakfast, drive south through rural villages to reach Ronda, a historic town with Celtic origins and incredible valley views. You'll have free time to explore. Later, continue to the Costa del Sol, a popular European beach destination with consistent weather and nice beaches. You'll stay at a beachfront hotel, usually in Torremolinos or nearby towns.

Costa del Sol to Morocco
Drive south along the scenic Costa del Sol coast to either Algeciras or Tarifa. You'll board a ferry across the Strait of Gibraltar to Morocco. Once in Tangier, you'll clear customs and travel by coach through Meknes for a quick break, then continue to Fes. Dinner is included at your hotel.

Fes
Take a guided tour of Fes, an ancient UNESCO city and one of Morocco's most important imperial destinations with the world's oldest and largest medieval medina. Walk through some of the old city's 9,400 alleyways and see the Royal Palace's seven gates, the Jewish Quarter, and Bab Bou Jeloud gate (built in 1913). Your afternoon is free to explore at your own pace. You'll stay a second night in Fes.

Fes to Rabat to Casablanca to Marrakech
This is a full day covering several Moroccan highlights. After breakfast, head to Rabat to see the Royal Palace exterior, Mohammed V Mausoleum, and Hassan Tower. Then drive to Casablanca for the United Nations Square, Corniche Boulevard, and the Hassan II Mosque exterior. You'll stop for lunch, then continue to Marrakech. Your evening is free or you can join an optional traditional dinner.

Marrakech to Casablanca
Explore Marrakech this morning starting at the Menara Gardens with its olive-surrounded pavilion. Visit the Koutoubia Minaret exterior and the Bahia Palace, once a nobleman's home. End at Djemaa el Fna Square, a cultural hub with souks, medina, artisan shops, and performers. Lunch is included at your hotel before you return to Casablanca. You'll explore the coastal city and have dinner included at your hotel.

After breakfast, travel to Tangier and head to the port for the ferry ride back across the Strait of Gibraltar to Spain. Continue to the Costa del Sol for an overnight stay.

Costa del Sol to Granada
After breakfast, drive to Granada, the last Moorish stronghold until 1492. You'll have a guided visit to the famous Alhambra complex and Generalife Gardens, which inspired Washington Irving's Tales of the Alhambra. Check into your hotel, and there's an optional Flamenco Zambra show available this evening to mark your tour's final night.

Granada to Toledo to Madrid
Leave Granada after breakfast on your final day, traveling north to Toledo, a UNESCO World Heritage Site set dramatically above the Tagus River. Known for its historic mix of Christian, Moorish, and Jewish cultures, Toledo offers a short guided tour through the old town's narrow streets. Then continue to Madrid where your tour ends with a drop-off in the city centre.
