- Day 1
Vienna
You'll arrive in Vienna and connect with your tour director who'll go over what's coming up during the week. After getting settled at your hotel, you can start wandering through Austria's capital on your own schedule.
- Day 2
Vienna
This morning takes you through Vienna's grand Ringstrasse to see the Hofburg Palace with its Spanish Riding School, Parliament, City Hall, and St. Stephen's Cathedral. You'll head to Schönbrunn Palace in the morning, then have the afternoon free for shopping, walking around, or sitting down with coffee and Sacher Torte. An optional Danube River Cruise with dinner is available if you're interested.

Vienna to Salzburg
You'll leave Vienna heading toward Salzburg, stopping at Melk Monastery, a Benedictine abbey sitting above the Danube. From there, the route follows scenic Austrian countryside to Linz where you'll grab lunch and do a walking tour of the city. Later you'll arrive in Salzburg in the late afternoon with time to settle in and explore.

- Day 4
Salzburg
A guided tour shows you Salzburg's old town including the Residence, Cathedral, and Franciscan Church. You'll visit spots from The Sound of Music like Mirabell Gardens and Nonnberg Abbey. After lunch, the afternoon is yours to walk around and shop, or you can join an optional trip to the Hallein Salt Mine nearby.

Salzburg to Innsbruck
You'll travel from Salzburg toward Innsbruck with a stop at Swarovski Crystal Worlds, an art installation that's drawn millions of visitors. Then you'll reach Innsbruck, Tyrol's capital, to see medieval streets including the Golden Roof, St. Jacob's Cathedral, and the Hofburg Imperial Palace. Free time follows to explore the city at your own pace.

Crossing the Alps brings you into Italy's Dolomites and Sud Tirol region. You'll pass through Merano and stop in Bolzano to see the Gothic and Romanesque cathedral and have lunch. From there it's on to the Lake Garda area where you'll spend the night with free time to relax by the water.

Lake Garda

Lake Garda to Venice
Leaving Lake Garda, you'll head toward the Adriatic coast with a stop in Verona. A guided tour covers Piazza delle Erbe, the Roman amphitheater, and Juliet's House in this UNESCO World Heritage city. You'll have time to explore and grab lunch before moving on to the Venice area for an evening at leisure.

- Day 9
Venice
In Venice you'll start with a taxi boat ride and guided tour of the city. St. Mark's Square is first, where you'll see the Basilica with its mosaics, the Bell Tower, and the Astrological Clock Tower. Next comes the Doge's Palace and the Rialto Bridge with stories about Venice's history. The afternoon is free to hunt for Murano glass, have coffee at St. Mark's Square, or take an optional gondola ride through the canals.

Venice to Ljubljana
Leaving Venice, you'll drive toward Slovenia and stop in Trieste, Italy's most cosmopolitan city and known as the 'Little Vienna on the Sea' for its Habsburg heritage. You'll walk through Piazza Unità, Europe's largest sea-facing square, and see the Grand Canal with its Greek Orthodox Church of San Nicolò. After exploring historic neighborhoods and having traditional Italian lunch, you'll continue to Ljubljana, Slovenia's capital, arriving in the late afternoon.

Ljubljana
A guided tour shows you Ljubljana's main sights including Prešeren's Square, the Triple Bridge, the Fish Market, and the Town Hall. You'll ride the funicular up to Ljubljana Castle to learn about the city's history and get panoramic views from the top. After lunch, the afternoon is yours to walk through vibrant streets, visit cafes, and enjoy the riverside. In the evening, your group gathers for a farewell dinner to reflect on the trip.
