Itinerary

Hobart
You'll arrive in Hobart and head to your accommodation at your own pace. Your guide meets you at 3 pm for a short tour around the city, then everyone gathers for a welcome dinner at a local restaurant where you'll meet the other travelers on the trip.

Hobart to Freycinet
Head out to the historic town of Richmond to see its Gregorian architecture and Australia's oldest sandstone bridge. From there, you'll drive along Tasmania's sunny east coast, passing through Orford, Triabunna, and Swansea. Later you reach the Freycinet Peninsula, stopping at Friendly Beaches before arriving at your accommodation in Freycinet National Park for the evening.

Freycinet
Start early with a 4-hour boat trip along the coast where you'll look for purple rocks at Hazard's Coast and watch for dolphins, albatrosses, and seasonal humpback whales. The boat takes you through Schouten Passage to Wineglass Bay, where it anchors and lunch (typical Tasmanian fare) is served. After eating, you'll hike about 1.5 hours to a viewing platform overlooking the beach. The afternoon is free to spend on the white beaches and exploring the national park at your own pace.

Freycinet to Launceston
Spend the day at Bay of Fires, a 50-kilometer coastal stretch about 90 minutes north of Freycinet. You'll check out the deep blue waters, white beaches, and distinctive orange granite rocks that contrast sharply with the surroundings. Later, you'll visit St Columba Fall, one of Tasmania's highest waterfalls, then continue driving to Launceston for the evening.

Launceston
