You'll arrive in Glasgow and meet your Travel Director along with the other travelers on this trip. After checking in, the group gathers for dinner to celebrate the first night in Scotland's largest city.

- Day 2
Glasgow
Start with a drive through Glasgow to see George Square and St. Mungo's Cathedral. Then you'll head to Ardgowan House where Sir Ludovic Shaw Stewart welcomes you to his family castle on 10,000 acres. A walk through beech trees covers the Shaw Stewart family history, and afterward you'll have afternoon tea with scones, finger sandwiches, and locally-made cakes.

Stirling to Oban
Stirling Castle is your main stop this morning, where you'll tour the halls, chapels, and bedrooms while learning about Mary, Queen of Scots. You can see the Wallace Monument and the Stirling Bridge battlefield from the castle walls. Later, head to Loch Lomond where there's an optional cruise available. The day ends in Oban, known for its seafood and coastal resort atmosphere.

Isle of Mull and Iona
Take a ferry from Oban to Craignure on the Isle of Mull, then travel onward to the Isle of Iona. You'll walk through Iona Abbey, a center of Christian worship, and visit Reilig Odhrain where Scottish kings are buried. Your Travel Director shares the abbey's story from Columba's monastery through the 12th century Benedictine expansion.

In the afternoon, you can choose between a Loch Ness cruise with tales about Nessie, or visit Uile-bheist Distillery to learn whisky and beer making, sustainability practices, and taste their products.

There's an optional morning visit to Blair Castle, home to the Atholl family for over seven centuries, where you can explore nine acres of walled gardens and a deer park. By afternoon you're traveling to Edinburgh. Later there's an optional Scottish dining and live music experience at Ghillie Dhu Georgian hall if you'd like it.

The afternoon is free for your own exploration, though an optional guided experience about Royal Edinburgh's history is available.
