Itinerary
- Day 1
Launceston to Stanley
Your day starts at 8 am with a welcome meeting in Launceston. You'll head to Tiagarra Museum where there's a Welcome to Country ceremony and then explore the Tasmanian Aboriginal Cultural Centre. From there, you'll travel along the Cradle to Coast Tasting Trail, stopping to sample local ciders, chocolates and truffles. After lunch in Penguin, it's on to Stanley where you can climb The Nut for coastal views and walk through the working wharf. You'll settle into accommodation near Smithton for the next two nights.

Tarkine Wilderness Exploration
This morning you're heading into the Tarkine Wilderness, where Australia's largest temperate rainforest spreads across the landscape. You'll come across geological sites like Trowutta Arch and Lake Chisholm sinkhole. Marrawah is next, a coastal area known for big wave surfing, and then the Edge of the World marking where the ocean stretches longest without hitting land until Argentina. Short walks let you explore these sites at a comfortable pace. Back at accommodation near Smithton, the night sky is great for stargazing after sunset.

Rocky Cape to Corinna
You'll travel to Corinna via Rocky Cape National Park, walking through windswept heathlands and checking out sea caves and ancient rock formations. The historic lighthouse at Table Cape and Boat Harbour Beach come next. You stop at Hellyer Gorge and walk to Philosopher Falls near Waratah. Later you'll reach a restored miners' cottage in remote Corinna where phone service doesn't reach, so it's truly disconnected from the outside world. The group gathers for dinner together and you can watch the sunset from there.

Corinna to Cradle Mountain
The morning is yours to either kayak or hike around Corinna, exploring the Pieman River and Tarkine Rainforest if those activities interest you. After lunch, you'll drive to Cradle Mountain-Lake St Clair National Park and have the afternoon free to settle in. Later you'll visit a wildlife conservation facility where Tasmania's famous devil lives. You get to watch them feed, hear their story, see the nursery with the youngest ones, and finish watching the sunset over Cradle Mountain.

Cradle Mountain to Launceston
Following breakfast, you'll hike the Dove Lake Circuit, a mostly board-walked trail that's fairly easy with impressive views of Cradle Mountain's spires. A local restaurant in the park serves group lunch with optional drinks and time to relax by the fire. Then it's the drive to Launceston with chances to stop for tastings and shopping, picking up local raspberries, cheese and ice cream if you like. The night in Launceston is free to either relax at your accommodation or have dinner with your group.

Launceston to Eaglehawk Neck
After breakfast, you're heading to Hobart where a welcome meeting brings new group members together. Port Arthur Historic Site, a former convict settlement, comes next. You'll move through the site with an audio experience and take a short boat cruise. Remarkable Cave offers beach scenery and unique geology. Then you'll check into waterside accommodation at Eaglehawk Neck on the Tasman Peninsula and join your group for dinner to meet everyone new to the tour.

Tasman Peninsula and Hobart
After breakfast, the drive down the Tasman Peninsula through Eaglehawk Neck shows off the region's character. You'll stop at Tasman Arch, Devil's Kitchen and the Tessellated Pavement to see unusual rock formations. Back in Hobart, Salamanca Markets let you explore fresh produce and handmade crafts. Then NITA Education, a local First Nations organisation, shares a Welcome to Country ceremony and serves bush tucker while you listen to their stories. The evening's free for an optional group dinner at popular waterfront restaurants.

Hartz Mountains and Huon Valley
Driving to the top of kunanyi / Mount Wellington gives you views across Hobart city, surrounding mountains, forests and waterways. The remote Hartz Mountains wilderness, shaped by ancient glaciers, has short walks to explore. Geeveston, a small township with forestry heritage, is your next stop. Then you'll head up the Huon Valley to a cidery where a fourth-generation orchard owner explains the history of local apple farming and offers optional cider samples. You return to Hobart for your final night.

Bruny Island
This morning there's a ferry ride to Bruny Island. You'll climb 279 steps to Truganini Lookout at The Neck for sweeping views, Indigenous history and wildlife spotting chances. South Bruny National Park shows you the Cape Bruny Lighthouse sitting above the wild Southern Ocean. Local shops offer tastings of locally sourced oysters, honey, cheese and beer. After the ferry back to Hobart, your trip comes to an end.
