Itinerary

  1. Day 1

    Athens

    You'll arrive in Athens and get transferred to your hotel. After you settle in, the rest of the day is yours to wander around the capital at your own pace. It's a good time to grab dinner somewhere local and get your bearings before the guided activities start.

  2. Day 2

    Athens

    Start with a guided coach tour hitting the Panathenaic Stadium and Temple of Olympian Zeus. The main event is the Acropolis where you'll see the Parthenon up close, and then there's a guided tour through the Acropolis Museum to see what's been recovered from the site. Later in the afternoon you'll have free time in Plaka to walk the cobbled streets, eat at tavernas, and check out shops along Ermou Street.

  3. Day 3

    Athens to Olympia

    Leave Athens heading toward the Peloponnese, stopping first at the Corinth Canal before moving on to the ancient theatre at Epidaurus. From there you'll go to Mycenae, a World Heritage site where you can see the Cyclopean walls, the Tomb of Agamemnon, and the Lion Gate. You'll end the day in Olympia, so allow for travel time between sites.

    Olympia to Delphi

    Spend your time exploring Olympia, the birthplace of the ancient Olympic Games along the Alfios river. You'll visit the Temple of Zeus, the Palestra, and Phidia's workshop. In the afternoon you cross the Rio-Antiro Bridge and head north toward Delphi, arriving by evening.

    Delphi to Athens

    Walk through Delphi's ancient sanctuary, following the Sacred Way to see temple ruins scattered across the site. The local museum has the bronze Charioteer statue and the omphalos stone, both important pieces of Greek history. After you've finished exploring, you'll head back to Athens for the evening.

    Have breakfast before heading to Piraeus port for your ferry to Mykonos. Once you arrive at the island, you'll transfer to your hotel. The afternoon and evening are open for you to explore Mykonos on your own terms.

    Mykonos

    You've got the whole day to spend however you like on Mykonos. Relax on the beaches, walk through the narrow streets with their white-washed buildings, or check out local attractions. There's also nightlife in the evening if that interests you.

    Santorini

    Explore Santorini on your own schedule. You can check out Fira and Oia for their volcano views, relax on the black sand beaches, or take a boat tour out to the caldera islands if you want something more structured. By evening, position yourself somewhere good to watch the sunset over the Aegean.

    Our guide Vicky and our driver Mr Sokrates were great. It was a pleasure to hear from Vicky a lot of very interesting stories about the greek history and the monuments. I can recommend this tour!!!

    The tour director who met me at the Titania hotel was very organized and professional, Thanassis Bourliaskos. My taxi driver was waiting for me at the airport and took me directly to my hotel, the Titania. Beautiful hotel with good buffet breakfast. I would have liked to stop at more tourist sites in Greece. I booked the excursion for Sounion and Temple of Poseiden. Took longer than 1 hour to arrive on the bus. Okay. Visited the Acropolis museum and the Acropolis. So awesome!! Meteora was beautiful inside the monasteries but no pictures inside. Picturesque views outside the monasteries. We visited 2 monasteries. There was a 3 day cruise to Mykonos, Kusadasi with an Ephesus excursion. Mykonos is a beautiful island walking along the shore with lots of shopping. Ephesus is one of the largest archeological sites. Patmos excursion was amazing to visit the cave where St John wrote Revelation in the Bible and also included was St John's monastery. Cruise also included Crete and Santorini. I wish I would have rode the donkeys up and down the mountain. I paid to visit the village which is very crowded with narrow pathways. I had a great time and met some very interesting people. The waiters on the cruise, Celestyl were very kind and courteous. Excellent service!! I would highly recommend this 8 day tour and cruise on the Aegean sea.
