Itinerary
- Day 1
Reykjavik
Your Flybus transfer gets you from Keflavik International Airport to your hotel in Reykjavik. After you settle in, the rest of the day is open for wandering around the city at your own pace. Your guide, who specializes in solar eclipse astronomy, will be meeting up with you to start the tour proper tomorrow.

Arnarstapi - Borgarnes
This morning you'll leave Reykjavik and drive out to Arnarstapi on the Snaefellsnes Peninsula, which sits right in the eclipse path. By around 16:00, your guide brings you to the viewing location. You'll watch the total solar eclipse happen, with totality lasting 2 minutes and 2 seconds, which ranks among the longest durations anywhere. Once it finishes around 18:46, you'll drive to Borgarnes, pulling in around 21:00 for a light meal.

Godafoss - Lake Myvatn
Starting out, you'll check out Godafoss, one of Iceland's most striking waterfalls. From there, the pseudo-craters of Skutustadir show what happens when hot lava flows over cool, wet ground, which formed these features about 2,300 years ago. Then you head to Lake Myvatn for the night, staying near the shore.

- Day 4
Dimmuborgir - Namaskard - Egilsstadir
Early in the day, you'll hike through the lava fields at Dimmuborgir, where local legend places trolls living in the dark castles. Next comes the hot spring zone at Namaskard with its bubbling mud and steaming vents. You'll have included access to Myvatn Nature Baths, a geothermal hot spring running 36-40°C/97-104°F. As you travel through the uninhabited highlands toward East Iceland, there's a chance to spot Arctic foxes or reindeer. You'll see Dettifoss, Europe's most powerful waterfall, before arriving in Egilsstadir for the night.

Djupivogur - Hofn
This morning takes you to Studlagil Canyon with its striking basalt columns and bright blue-green glacial river, great for photos. After that, the small coastal village of Djupivogur offers panoramic coastal views and fjord scenery. You'll finish the day in Hofn, a scenic fishing town.

Jokulsarlon - Reynisfjara - Skogafoss - Seljalandsfoss - Hella
You start at Jokulsarlon glacial lagoon where floating icebergs fill the water, and an included boat tour lets you get close to them while watching for seals on the floes. Just across the street, Diamond Beach has icebergs washing up on shore. From there, Reynisfjara shows off dramatic black sand and rock formations. Skogafoss comes next, a waterfall over 60 metres high. Then you reach Seljalandsfoss, where a path goes behind the falls so you can feel the spray. Your hotel for the night is in Hella.

- Day 7
Gullfoss - Geysir - Fridheimar - Thingvellir - Reykjavik
Today covers the Golden Circle. You'll start at Gullfoss, the double waterfall dropping 34 metres into the Hvita River. Next, the Geysir geothermal area has hot springs, bubbling pools, and Strokkur erupting roughly every 5-10 minutes. At Fridheimar, you learn about Icelandic horses and tour a geothermal greenhouse where tomatoes grow year-round. Then Thingvellir National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site, rounds out the day before returning to Reykjavik.
