Dunedin
You'll start in Dunedin, a harbor city known for its wildlife and historic architecture. Settle into your accommodation for the next three nights and begin getting familiar with the Victorian and Edwardian buildings, those famous steep streets, and the local animal life that makes this place special.

Dunedin
Head north to Huriawa Peninsula with a local Maori guide who'll share stories about the heritage and traditional Pa sites in the area. After lunch, you'll visit Larnach Castle for a guided tour of this 1871 building and check out the collection of New Zealand antiques inside.

Dunedin
Morning is yours to do as you like, whether that's wandering around Dunedin or staying at your hotel. In the afternoon, pick from several options: tour Speight's Brewery, walk through the heritage architecture, try the Culinary Otago Tour for local food and produce, or take a half-day wildlife cruise along the Otago Peninsula. You'll wrap up the day with a farewell dinner at Olveston Historic House.

Dunedin to Scenic Eclipse II
Take a guided tour through Toitu Otago Settlers Museum to learn about Dunedin's history from Maori times through European arrival to today. After that, you'll transfer to the Scenic Eclipse II, your luxury yacht. Meet the crew and your butler, get settled in your suite, and have champagne in the Observation Lounge to celebrate the start of your Antarctic journey.

Ross Sea Region
You'll enter the Ross Sea and start spotting wandering albatrosses and icebergs. The landscape features dramatic mountains, glacial ice tongues, and vast ice shelves. As you near Ross Island and Mount Erebus, you're literally walking in the footsteps of legendary explorers like Scott, Shackleton, and Amundsen.

Cape Royds

Ross Island
You'll see Mount Erebus, the southernmost active volcano on Earth, dominating the landscape. Attend a theater session where the polar team discusses Antarctic expeditions and the historic huts. Then explore either the McMurdo Dry Valleys or look for orcas and Emperor penguins from the ship.

Cape Crozier
Cruise to Cape Crozier, a remote spot famous for its Adelie penguin colony and Antarctic history. You'll see ice cliffs that rise about 50 meters above the water. Use binoculars and Swarovski telescopes to spot wildlife or attend lectures from the team on board.

Terra Nova Bay
Head to Terra Nova Bay to see Italian and South Korean research stations, the Drygalski Ice Tongue, and Inexpressible Island, where six men from Scott's 1910-1913 expedition survived a brutal Antarctic winter. Visit Adelie Cove for close encounters with penguins.

Inexpressible Island

Adare Peninsula
Arrive at Adare Peninsula with its jagged cliffs and towering Admiralty Mountains. You'll witness the largest Adelie penguin colony in Antarctica with about 250,000 breeding pairs. See the remains of Carsten Borchgrevink's 1899 hut, site of the first documented Antarctic landing in 1895.

Cape Adare
