Itinerary
- Day 1
Hervey Bay to Lady Elliot Island
You'll take a scenic 35-minute flight from Hervey Bay to Lady Elliot Island, then settle into your resort and get oriented to the area. After that, the afternoon is open for snorkeling in the lagoon or exploring the coral gardens, with all equipment available at the PADI dive store. Come evening, there's a buffet dinner followed by presentations, games, or the chance to watch sea turtles if they're active.

Lady Elliot Island
Start early with either a snorkel or island walk before heading to a buffet breakfast on the terrace overlooking the coral lagoon. Throughout the day you'll have access to free activities including a reef walk (depending on tides), an island discovery walk, and a glass-bottom boat tour combined with snorkeling. The PADI dive store provides all equipment and training. After dinner buffet in the evening, you'll wrap up the day.

Lady Elliot Island to K'gari
Following breakfast, you'll fly by small plane back to Hervey Bay, then transfer to River Heads for a ferry ride to K'gari, which is the world's largest sand island and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Once you check into your resort, the afternoon is yours to spend as you like, whether that's exploring or relaxing by the pool. In the evening, you can join optional activities such as spotlighting tours, stargazing, or a presentation about K'gari's dingoes.

K'gari Full-Day Excursion
This is a full day exploring K'gari by off-road vehicle with a guide. You'll visit Lake McKenzie to swim on its white sandy beaches, check out the rainforest at Central Station and Wanggoolba Creek where you can see rare royal ferns, then head to Pile Valley to see the tall Satinay trees. There's a boardwalk walk at Eli Creek, and along the way your guide shares information about the SS Maheno shipwreck, the colored sand formations of 75-Mile Beach, and the island's Aboriginal history.

K'gari to Hervey Bay
After breakfast, you'll take the ferry from Kingfisher Bay Resort back to River Heads and Hervey Bay. Ferry times to choose from are 7:50 am, 10:30 am, 2 pm, or 5 pm. Your tour ends when you arrive in Hervey Bay.
