Itinerary
- Day 1
Arrival Cairo
Your guide from Ancient Egypt Tours will meet you when you land at Cairo International Airport and drive you to your hotel in a private air-conditioned vehicle. Once you've checked in and settled, your guide will call to go over the schedule and confirm pickup times for the days ahead. If you're interested, there's a Nile Dinner Cruise available for this evening that includes belly dancing and hotel transfers, so you can decide if that fits your plans.

- Day 2
Cairo
After breakfast at the hotel, your guide picks you up for a full day on the Giza Plateau. You'll see the Great Pyramid of Khufu, along with Khafre's and Menkaure's pyramids, then check out the Great Sphinx and Valley Temple. There's a spot where you can get photos of all three pyramids with Cairo's skyline in the background. Lunch is available if you want it (extra cost applies). Later you'll head to the Egyptian Museum to walk through thousands of ancient artifacts, including King Tutankhamun's golden treasures and other pieces spanning over 250,000 items. From there, transfer to the train station for your overnight train to Luxor.

- Day 3
Luxor
You arrive in Luxor and your guide takes you through a full day of temples and tombs. Start at Karnak Temple, which covers 100 hectares and is the largest temple complex ever built, with three main temples and outer temples to explore. Next, head to Mortuary Temple of Queen Hatshepsut at Deir el-Bahari on the west bank of the Nile, a three-level structure cut into the cliffs. Then move to the Valley of the Kings where you'll see three royal tombs, including the Tomb of King Tutankhamun. The day wraps up at the Colossi of Memnon, two enormous statues of Pharaoh Amenhotep III. After that, transfer to the train station for your overnight return to Cairo.

- Day 4
Departure Cairo
Your Ancient Egypt Tours representative picks you up and takes you to the airport for your flight home. Plan to arrive about 4 hours early if it's an international flight, or 3 hours early for domestic flights. If you're flying early and breakfast won't be served at the hotel, you can arrange for a breakfast box the night before to take with you.
