Itinerary
- Day 1
Arrival in Cairo
You'll get picked up at Cairo airport by an Ancient Egypt Tours representative who'll drive you to your hotel in a private air-conditioned vehicle. Standard check-in is at 14:00, though you can ask about early check-in if you arrive ahead of schedule. If you get there early, the hotel has facilities to relax in, or you might add an extra night beforehand for immediate access. Come evening, there are two optional activities to choose from: a 2-hour open buffet Nile cruise with live entertainment, or the Sound and Light show.

- Day 2
Cairo
Start with breakfast at your hotel, then your personal guide takes you across the Giza Plateau for the day. You'll see the Great Pyramid of Khufu, Khafre's pyramid, and the pyramid of Menkaure, plus the Great Sphinx. After that, you'll visit the Valley Temple where mummification happened, and there's a spot that gives you a good shot of all three pyramids with Cairo's skyline in the background. The day wraps up at the Egyptian Museum, which holds around 250,000 artifacts and includes King Tutankhamun's golden treasures.

- Day 3
Cairo to Alexandria
After breakfast, you're driven roughly 210 kilometers to Alexandria, known locally as 'The Pearl of the Mediterranean'. You'll walk through Montazah Palace and Gardens, which spreads across 317 acres of trees and flowers, then pass by the Bibliotheca of Alexandria. Next comes Pompey's Pillar, followed by the Catacombs (the largest Roman Cemetery with three rock-cut levels). From there, you drive along the Cornish for views of Stanley Bridge, tour the Qaitbay Citadel built where an ancient lighthouse once stood, and see the Bibliotheca Alexandrina. Later you'll head back to your Cairo hotel.

- Day 4
Departure from Cairo
Have breakfast at the hotel before heading to the airport for your flight home. An Ancient Egypt Tours representative picks you up and handles your airport transfer. If your flight leaves early before breakfast is served, ask the hotel to pack you a breakfast box to take along.
