- Day 1
Casablanca
You'll arrive at Casablanca Airport and get transferred to your hotel. Before the 6 pm welcome meeting, there's time to check out Villa des Arts or the Museum of Judaism if you land early. Dinner happens at a traditional restaurant with tagine, couscous, and pastilla.

Casablanca to Rabat to Meknes
The day starts at the Mosque of Hassan II, one of the world's largest religious sites that welcomes non-Muslim visitors. You'll drive north to Rabat and walk through the medina and souks, then head to Kasbah des Oudaias for mint tea with ocean views. Stop by the Mausoleum of Mohammed V before driving on to Meknes.

Volubilis - Chefchaouen
Walk through Meknes medina with your leader, visiting Moulay Ismail's shrine, local markets, and granaries. From there, you'll see the Roman ruins at Volubilis with a local guide. A picnic lunch includes fresh bread, cheese, olives, and seasonal fruits. Later, you'll drive to Chefchaouen in the Rif Mountains, known for its striking blue-washed buildings.

Chefchaouen

The rest of your day is open to wander the blue-hued streets, shop for handicrafts, or sit at a café. Your leader can arrange a homecooked dinner if you'd like.

Chefchaouen to Fes
You'll leave Chefchaouen and travel to Fes, Morocco's spiritual and cultural heart. Upon arrival, relax in a local hammam. This evening brings a unique experience: a home-cooked pastilla dinner in a local family's private after-hours restaurant where you'll learn about this sweet and savory dish before finishing with a traditional sweet treat.

Fes
Explore Fes el Bali, the medieval Old Town with a rich history as a center of Islamic and Jewish education. You'll walk through twisting streets past historic khans and medresses, then break for mint tea at a family-owned tea house. See the dye pits, market stalls, Al-Attarine Madrasa, tanneries, and the beautifully restored 18th-century Funduk Nejjarine inn. The afternoon is yours to explore further.

Fes to Erfoud
This is a long driving day from Fes to Erfoud in the desert. The route takes you through olive groves, cedar and pine forests, and valleys of date palms with High Atlas Mountain views. Erfoud is a French-built town with distinctive red sand buildings that blend into the desert. You'll visit the local market to try fresh dates, which are celebrated enough to have their own festival.

Erfoud to Sahara Desert Camp
You'll explore Khemliya, a traditional Saharan village on the edge of the orange Erg Chebbi sand dunes, known for distinctive music and dance. Watch a cooking demonstration of medfouna (the local specialty), then try it for lunch. A camel ride takes you through the desert to your Feature Stay camp with permanent tents, beds, and en suite bathrooms. Dinner is traditional food under the stars followed by live Gnaoua music around a fire.

Sahara Desert to Dades Valley
Watch the desert sunrise with remarkable orange shades. You'll drive to Todra Gorge, a massive limestone formation rising over 250 m with dramatic scenery. After a short gentle walk through the gorge, continue to the beautiful Dades Valley for your next two nights. The valley has sprawling green areas that give way to wind-carved rock formations. Your accommodation has a pool and terrace with mountain views.

Dades Valley
Spend the day exploring untouched Moroccan backcountry on foot. You can choose between a 10 km circuit taking about 4 hours or a custom route based on group preferences. Trek with a local guide through undulating terrain (accessible with basic fitness). Stop in a village for tea with a local Amazigh family to learn about their way of life, set against surrounding mountains and the famous Rose Valley.

Dades Valley to Ait Benhaddou
Leave Dades Valley on the Road of a Thousand Kasbahs. First stop is Skoura Oasis with privately owned kasbahs including the ornate Kasbah Ameridhl. Continue to Ait Benhaddou, an 11th-century hilltop site virtually unchanged since then and an example of clay architecture (featured in Game of Thrones). Walk through winding Old Town streets to the top for scenic views. Visit Taman'Art Space studio by a local artist, then have lunch at the community-run Tawesna teahouse with freshly made Amazigh bread, soup, Moroccan sweets, and mint tea.

This location offers gentle winter climate and moderate summer weather. Explore red-earth hills and pine forests, watch diverse bird life, or relax. Your leader can arrange hiking options with a local guide.

Ouirgane to Marrakech
Travel to Tahanaout for a hands-on cooking class with a celebrated local chef. Explore his organic kitchen garden surrounded by olive groves and orchards in a traditional Amazigh douar. Harvest fresh ingredients and learn to cook tagines and salads with aromatic Moroccan herbs. Try your creations at lunch, then continue to Marrakech. Check in to your beautifully decorated riad. The evening is free, so perhaps visit Djemaa el-Fna and enjoy tea at a rooftop restaurant overlooking the square.

Drive to Essaouira, a laid-back Atlantic Ocean city where the medina meets the beach. An orientation walk with your leader takes you through market stalls and narrow streets. Visit the colorful harbour filled with boats and the fish souk. Choose a fresh catch and take it to a local restaurant to be grilled for lunch. Your leader will guide you to the fresh vegetable markets to select salads and vegetables to accompany your seafood.

This is a free day in this artists' town. Explore charming sandstone streets or discover the coast and sand dunes on horseback. Visit the Sidi Mohammed Ben Abdallah Museum to see artifacts, woodwork, carpets, and stringed instruments. Watch kite surfers riding the crashing waves. You could take an optional cooking class to discover Morocco's tastes, or venture outside the city on a day trip to explore beautiful surroundings.

Eating at one of the many outdoor restaurants lining the square is a great way to wrap up your adventure.
