Itinerary
- Day 1
Kigali to Akagera National Park
After breakfast at your hotel, your guide picks you up for the drive to Akagera National Park, roughly 2.5 hours with stops for photos along the way. Once you arrive, check in at the lodge and have lunch. Later in the afternoon, you'll take a boat trip on Lake Ihema where hippos, crocodiles, buffaloes, and elephants hang out by the water. Head back to the lodge for dinner.

- Day 2
Akagera National Park
The day starts early at 06:00 with a game drive to look for elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, antelopes, and the recently re-introduced lions and rhinos. The park has over 500 bird species too if you're into birding. After returning to the lodge for lunch, you'll head back out for an afternoon boat trip on Lake Ihema to watch hippos, crocodiles, and other wildlife. Dinner's at the lodge.
