Itinerary
- Day 1
Arrival in Tirana
You'll arrive at Tirana International Airport and pick up your rental car for the drive into the city. After checking in at your hotel, there's a kick-off meeting with the tour organizer where you'll get your itinerary, maps, and a prepaid SIM card if requested. The rest of the day is yours to explore Tirana at your own pace, whether that's Bunk'Art, Et'hem Bey Mosque, or Skanderbeg Square. Dinner happens at a traditional restaurant, and then you can check out Tirana Castle, the Blloku district, and the city's nightlife if you're not too tired from traveling.

- Day 2
Kruja to Berat
After breakfast you'll drive north to Kruja where a local guide meets you. The morning involves the Skanderbeg Museum to learn about Albania's national hero and his 25-year defense against Ottoman forces, then you'll head through the Ethnographic Museum with your guide seeing traditional costumes and handcrafted artifacts. Lunch happens in the castle area, and afterward there's browsing at the Old Bazaar where a local artisan shows how qeleshe (traditional woolen caps) are made. Later in the afternoon you drive to Berat, the UNESCO-listed city, arriving for the evening.

- Day 3
Berat and Roshnik
This morning brings a guided tour of Berat, the UNESCO-listed 'City of a Thousand Windows.' You'll see the 2,400-year-old Berat Castle on the eastern bank of the Osum River and the Church of St. Mary of Blachernae with 16th-century iconographer Onufri's works. A local partner shows you through a traditional house to share community stories and traditions. Then you drive to Roshnik village at Mount Tomorri's foot for a farm-to-table lunch with local ingredients and wine tasting at Alpeta Agritourism and Winery, including traditional raki. Back to Berat by evening for a relaxing night.

- Day 4
Apollonia and Ardenica to Tirana
After breakfast you drive to Apollonia, an ancient Illyrian city founded in the 7th century BCE, and explore the archaeological site that once thrived as a trade center blending Illyrian, Greek, and Roman cultures. Later there's a visit to Ardenica Monastery, a peaceful site with historical significance and nice architecture. Lunch is at a restaurant in Ardenica (not included in your package). Then you drive back to Tirana, return your rental car, and have a free afternoon either exploring the city or relaxing at Tirana Lake Park before dining wherever you'd like that evening.

Departure from Tirana
You'll have a free morning in Tirana at your own pace before heading to the airport depending on your flight time. If there's time, options include a self-guided walk through the city to see Tirana's history and culture, riding the Dajti Express cable car for nature views and panoramic vistas, or visiting Tirana Castle to relax at cafes and bars. Last-minute shopping for souvenirs and local products is possible before you head out.
