- Day 1
Flight to New Zealand
Your flight departs from Frankfurt in economy class, heading toward Christchurch on the other side of the world. It's a long journey, so settle in and get comfortable for what comes next.
- Day 2
Christchurch
After a brief stop in Singapore, you continue on to New Zealand. The final leg brings you closer to the land of the Kiwis and all the landscapes waiting for you.
- Day 3
Christchurch Arrival
You touch down in Christchurch and transfer to your hotel where you can rest after the long flight. Later in the evening, your German-speaking tour guide joins you for dinner and walks through the itinerary for the days ahead.

Dunedin
Start with a quick city tour of Christchurch, then drive toward Dunedin with the Southern Alps framing the scenery. You'll stop to photograph the Moeraki Boulders along the beach, walk through Dunedin's Victorian architecture, and head to the Otago Peninsula in the early evening to see the yellow-eyed penguin colony.

Te Anau
Begin in the morning at Larnach Castle, a 19th-century mansion and New Zealand's only castle. From there, drive through deep rivers and lush fields toward Te Anau, the gateway to Fiordland National Park. In the evening, take a short boat trip to the glowworm caves where thousands of glowworms create a natural starry sky above you.

Queenstown
Spend the day on a boat tour of Doubtful Sound, one of the tour's highlights where you'll see waterfalls carved into rugged cliffs and watch for diverse wildlife. After that, drive to Queenstown, the adventure capital, which sits on Lake Wakatipu with views of the Remarkables mountain range.

Queenstown
This day is yours to use however you want in Queenstown. Take a walk along Lake Wakatipu with the Remarkables as your backdrop, or go for an adrenaline-filled jet boat ride if that appeals to you. The town offers plenty to explore at your own pace.

Fox and Franz Josef Glaciers
Leave Queenstown and drive to Arrowtown, a historic gold mining town with character. Then continue over winding roads through the Haast Pass to reach the Fox and Franz Josef Glaciers, which once carved their way through rainforest almost down to the sea.

Greymouth
Take a short hike on Franz Josef Glacier, and if you want something extra, book a helicopter flight around the glacier on site. Afterward, continue along the wild west coast to Hokitika, a center for green jade work. Stop at the Pancake Rocks in Punakaiki before heading back to Greymouth, the largest town on this coast.

Kaikoura

Wellington
Board the ferry from Picton and sail through the Marlborough Sound toward Wellington. The passage takes you past lonely bays and forested hills that go right down to the water's edge, making it one of the more beautiful ferry trips you'll take. Arrive in Wellington, New Zealand's capital, and if you're interested, ride the cable car up for views of the city.

Napier
After a short city tour of Wellington, travel to Napier. This city has a fascinating story: it was almost completely destroyed by a severe earthquake in 1931 and rebuilt using contemporary Art Deco style. It's now recognized as the Art Deco capital of the world, and you'll tour the city to see its unique architecture.

Taupo
Drive along the Thermal Explorer Highway from Napier to Taupo with great views along the way. You'll see Huka Falls with its powerful rushing water and explore the geothermal area at Wai-O-Tapu Thermal Wonderland. Later in the evening, walk across 28 illuminated suspension bridges at heights up to 20 meters through 120-year-old redwood trees on the Redwoods Nightlight Walk.

Rotorua
Rotorua is yours to explore as you like. Swim in one of the natural hot pools if you'd like, or take the Skyline Gondola up Mount Ngongotanha for views over the city and Lake Rotorua. In the evening, visit Te Puia to learn about Maori history and culture, have a traditional hangi buffet dinner, and finish with hot chocolate on a naturally heated rock terrace overlooking the Pahutu Geyser.

Finish the day at Coromandel Peninsula with its rolling hills, forested ridges, beaches, and rugged coastlines.

Auckland
Drive to Auckland, also called the city of sail, which sits between two large harbors. This is New Zealand's largest city, and you'll take a city tour to get to know it. In the evening, head to the Orbit Restaurant at the top of the Sky Tower, 328 meters up, for your farewell dinner with views across the entire city.
