Your flight to Delhi departs today, marking the start of your trip through India. You'll be meeting inspiring women leaders throughout the journey ahead.
- Day 2
Delhi
You arrive in Delhi this morning and begin exploring the city's contrasts, wandering through Old Delhi's historic alleyways before seeing New Delhi's planned streets. During the day, you'll join a local family for a traditional Indian cooking class, followed by lunch together. After that, you'll visit the impressive Qutub Minar tower, then finish with a conversation with a female entrepreneur about her business and experiences.

Delhi
This morning starts with a rickshaw ride through Old Delhi's narrow alleyways. You'll see the Red Fort and Jama Masjid, then head to Khari Baoli, Asia's largest spice market, where the activity and colors are quite something. Later you'll walk around India Gate before traveling to Humayun's Tomb, which many consider an important precursor to the Taj Mahal. You'll end the day meeting with women from the 'Pins & Needles' organization to learn about their embroidery training program.

Delhi to Agra
After breakfast, you'll travel 210 km toward Agra. Along the way, you'll stop at the Itimad-ud-Daulah mausoleum to see its architecture and craftsmanship. During the journey, you'll learn about women's roles in Indian mythology and hear the story behind how the Taj Mahal came to be built as a symbol of love. You'll arrive in Agra ready for tomorrow's sunrise experience.

Agra
You'll wake early to watch the sunrise at the Taj Mahal, the white marble mausoleum that took over 22 years to build. After this, you'll visit the imposing Red Fort. For lunch, you'll eat at Sheroes Cafe, which is run by survivors of acid attacks, and the work they do there is meaningful. Over dinner, you'll have a thoughtful conversation about women's roles and challenges in modern Indian society.

Agra to Jaipur
If you're interested, there's an optional early morning yoga class in Nature Walk Park where you can see the Taj Mahal. Later you'll travel 245 km to Kalakho village for a traditional juggad ride, a local vehicle experience. You'll meet villagers, visit their homes, and watch farmers, shepherds, and silversmiths working. After sharing Indian chai with locals, you'll continue to Jaipur, the 'Pink City', where you'll settle in and relax at your hotel.

Jaipur
Your day starts at the Hawa Mahal (Palace of the Winds), originally designed so royal ladies could watch city life without being seen. From there, you'll head to Amber Fort to see the Mirror Palace, then visit Jaigarh Fort for its views over the city. In the afternoon, you'll explore old town Jaipur by pink rickshaw driven by women from low-income areas. You'll learn how to tie a sari and turban, and can optionally get henna painted on your hands.

Jaipur to Deogarh
You'll travel 275 km to Deogarh village in the Aravalli Mountains, surrounded by lakes. During a walk through the village, you'll observe daily life, from people carrying water pots to local market activity. You'll spend the night at Deogarh Mahal, a 17th-century palace that's now a luxury hotel with fantastic views of the surrounding area. In the evening, you'll learn about marriage traditions and customs in India.

Deogarh
You'll take a scenic train ride from Kamblighat to Phulad through the countryside, where you'll meet local travelers and watch monkeys coming down from trees. On the train, you'll meet the owner's wife, who teaches English at the local school. Later, you'll visit a workshop where girls learn fashion design, sewing, and hand embroidery as a way to gain financial independence while preserving traditional crafts.

Deogarh to Udaipur
After breakfast, you'll travel 135 km toward Udaipur on Lake Pichola. You'll stop in Delwara to visit the Sadhna/Seva Mandir NGO, where over 600 women make and sell clothes. There, you can try your hand at traditional block printing, sewing, or embroidery, and you'll visit women's homes to see how the organization empowers women across caste boundaries. You'll arrive in Udaipur, the 'Queen of Lakes', in the evening.

Udaipur
You'll spend time at the magnificent City Palace, enjoying views of Lake Pichola from its balconies, domes, and towers. Inside Fateh Prakash Palace, you'll explore the Cristall Gallery, which houses the world's largest private crystal collection, including a jewel-adorned carpet. After a boat trip on Lake Pichola, you'll visit the Uger Training Center to learn about menstrual health and sustainable practices. You'll finish the day relaxing at the boutique hotel Maan Vilas.

You'll travel 240 km toward Luni with a stop in Ranakpur. There you'll see the white marble Jain temple, known for its 1,444 intricately carved pillars, each one unique in design. The temple is considered one of India's most beautiful and important Jain religious sites. You'll arrive at Fort Chanwa in the evening, a restored 19th-century palace complex now operating as a guesthouse where you'll stay overnight.

Luni to Jodhpur
You'll travel 110 km to Jodhpur, the 'Blue City'. After arriving, you'll visit Meherangarh Fort, which sits 125 metres above the city and includes a museum. From there, you'll see Jaswant Thada and the white marble chattri of Jaswant Singh II. You'll walk through historic old town monuments and meet the priest's family at Kunj Bihari temple. Later, you'll check out the elegant step well and famous Ghanta Ghar clock tower, then explore the exotic bazaar.

You'll enjoy a farewell dinner at the hotel, reflecting on everything you've seen and the inspiring women you've met, while discussing the ongoing challenges women face in Indian society.
