Montecatini Terme
You'll arrive in Florence and then travel to Montecatini Terme, where the group meets at the hotel this evening. There's a welcome dinner together to kick things off and get to know your fellow travelers.

Montecatini Terme to Pisa
After a casual walk through town, you'll head to the train station and travel to Pisa. Once there, you can explore the Square of Miracles and see the leaning tower, cathedral, baptistery, and Campo Santo up close. You'll wander through the old town and get a feel for the student atmosphere, then catch a train back to Montecatini in the afternoon where you have the evening free.

Montecatini Terme to Florence
After breakfast, you'll board a train heading toward Florence. Once there, spend time at the cathedral with its bell tower and baptistery, where you can see the intricate marble work up close. Walk through the pedestrian zone past cafés and shops, then check out the town hall. Cross the Ponte Vecchio with its jewelers lining the bridge, and you'll have free time to wander more or grab an aperitivo before the train ride back to Montecatini Terme.

Montecatini Terme to Siena
You'll travel south by bus into the Tuscan countryside to reach Siena. The dramatic Campo, a shell-shaped square ringed by walls, is the heart of the city where you can also see the Palazzo Pubblico and the striking black and white striped cathedral. After lunch, there's time to sample some of Siena's local sweets before the bus returns you to Montecatini.

Montecatini Terme to Florence
A train ride takes you to Florence and straight to the Uffizi Gallery, where you'll skip the regular lines with advance tickets. You'll see works by Botticelli, da Vinci, and others with guidance from an expert. In the afternoon, choose between seeing the city from Piazzale Michelangelo, visiting the Basilica of San Miniato al Monte, wandering the Boboli Gardens, or just exploring the pedestrian streets before heading back.

Montecatini Terme to Lucca
The train takes you to Lucca, birthplace of composer Giacomo Puccini. You'll enter the old town through the well-preserved ring walls and walk through Piazza dell'Anfiteatro, which the Romans once planned as an amphitheater. Stop by the church of San Frediano and the cathedral. In the afternoon, you can rent a bike and cycle along the city walls or explore on your own before heading back to Montecatini Terme.

Montecatini Terme to San Gimignano
A bus takes you through rolling Tuscan hills to San Gimignano, where medieval towers rise from the hillside as symbols of wealthy families' power. You'll take in views of the countryside from the town center and see the fresco cycle in the Collegiata Santa Maria Assunta showing biblical scenes. The day ends at a local farm with a traditional meal of antipasti and regional wines.
