    Your morning starts in Nicosia, Europe's only divided capital, where you'll visit St. John's Cathedral next to Archbishop Makarios' palace and walk through the restored old town's narrow streets. You'll cross the Green Line on foot into the Turkish part of the city (bring your ID) to explore the Büyük Han, a restored old caravanserai near the market and Selimiye Mosque. Later, you'll drive to the north coast to see the impressive Gothic monastery ruins in Bellapais, then end the day exploring Kyrenia's lively harbor with its medieval fortress and shipwreck museum.

You'll stop in the village of Choirokoitia at Petros Nikolaou's traditional stone house for a delicious traditional lunch with Cypriot wine in his garden. After lunch, Petros will share his story and show you traditional basket weaving, and you can try it if you'd like.
