    Naples

    Start with Castel St. Elmo in the Vomero district, where you get views over the city and down to the Gulf of Naples. From there, check out the historic monastery and cloister at Santa Chiara. Before the afternoon frees up for your own exploration, walk through the Galleria Umberto.

You'll visit the cathedral, then spend time at Villa Rufolo and Villa Cimbrone, both with gardens overlooking the Gulf of Salerno. It's about a 50 kilometer drive total.

    Paestum and Ferry to Capri

    Paestum shows you three ancient Greek temples, some of the best surviving examples of Greek culture in southern Italy. The on-site museum has temple pieces and the famous 'Diver' image. By late afternoon, you board a ferry to Capri. You'll cover around 130 kilometers in total today.

Later, wander the quiet streets of Capri Town and have dinner at a local restaurant there or in Anacapri.

In the afternoon, take a ferry to Ischia, the largest island in the Gulf of Naples.

    The tour guide was great, organized, highly motivated, extensive knowledge. The hotels were ok, the rooms varied, obviously the cheap option within the hotels. The choice of flights was catastrophic. Instead of direct flights, there were stopovers with long waiting times, we were practically on the road for a whole day each time. The flight from Vienna to Edinborough also had to be rebooked, but this was not the responsibility of the travel agency.
