Île de la Cité and Seine Boat Trip
Start with the Paris metro to reach Île de la Cité, where you'll visit Notre-Dame de Paris. The cathedral recently reopened after the 2019 fire, so it's worth seeing the Gothic architecture up close. After touring the cathedral, you'll head to the equestrian statue of Henry IV before taking a leisurely boat trip on the Seine. The afternoon is free, and you have a museum pass that covers various art sites. The Louvre is worth the trip if you plan ahead and book an online time slot, though it's your call how to spend the time.

Lunch happens in the Tuileries Gardens, the old palace park that stretches between Place de la Concorde and the Louvre. Later, you'll stroll through the arcades at Palais Royal and check out the 19th century passages scattered throughout the area. The day wraps up near the Opera House close to Galeries Lafayette. If you prefer guided exploration, your tour guide can take you through the transformed eastern districts near Bibliothèque Nationale and Bercy, where you'll see recent urban redevelopment, a city park, and Bercy Village.
