You'll fly into Singapore and head straight to your hotel to get settled. It's a good chance to shake off the flight and get your bearings before the week starts.

Singapore
Head to the Botanic Gardens in the morning, a UNESCO World Heritage Site where you can walk through tropical plants and flowers along scenic paths. Spend the day on a private guided tour of Bangkok's iconic temples and palaces. See the Grand Palace and the Emerald Buddha at Wat Phra Kaew. Start the morning driving through old-city Chiang Mai to visit Wat Pra Singh, a solid example of Lanna architecture among the city's 200-plus temples. Stop at Wat Chedi Luang to see its enormous partially-destroyed pagoda, damaged during an earthquake in 1545. Browse Warorot Market for a real taste of northern life. After lunch, drive for an hour to Doi Suthep Mountain, then climb 309 steps to Wat Phra That, one of Northern Thailand's most sacred temples, with panoramic views over Chiang Mai.
