Itinerary
- Day 1
Ho Chi Minh City to Cai Be to Can Tho
You'll get picked up from your Ho Chi Minh City hotel early and head to Cai Be for a full day in the Mekong Delta. The boat ride takes you down the Tien River through orchards where you can see how coconut fudge and crispy rice get made at a family factory. There's fresh fruit and folk music performances, then you'll paddle a smaller boat through the canals. After that, you prepare lunch at a local garden with traditional Vietnamese dishes. You'll cycle through more orchards and visit Ba Kiet's old house before heading back to Cai Be. From there, it's a boat ride back and then travel to Can Tho City where you'll stay overnight.

Cai Rang - Chau Doc
After breakfast at your hotel, you head out on the Hau river to check out Cai Rang Floating Market, which is really lively in the early morning. There's a stop at a local noodle factory and you'll see the Munir Ansay Pagoda, a Khmer temple with a unique style. Next, you take a boat to Con Son for a fruit plantation tour where you can taste whatever's in season. Following lunch, you travel to Chau Doc and explore the Tra Su Forest, a large mangrove area that's perfect for rowing through on a small boat. You visit the Ba Chua Xu Temple, then check into your hotel and have dinner at a local restaurant in the evening.

Chau Doc to Ho Chi Minh City
You check out after breakfast and spend time at the floating village and Cham Village learning about the Cham people's culture and history in the delta. Cau Doc Market has lots of colorful produce and local food to see. Hang Temple is tucked into Sam Mountain and has detailed Buddhist sculptures inside. At the Ba Chua Xu Temple, you pay respects, then enjoy a leisurely lunch while photographing the lotus fields in bloom. The Go Thap historical site shows you Oc Eo culture going back to the 1st century. Later in the evening, you head back to Ho Chi Minh City where the tour ends.
