Edinburgh
You'll arrive in Edinburgh and have the evening to walk around the Royal Mile and check out the castle area. After settling in, meet up with your Contiki group (fellow travelers aged 27-35) at local bars to get to know people before the trip officially kicks off.

Edinburgh
Today is yours to explore Edinburgh however you'd like. There's an optional local guide tour of Edinburgh Castle if you want, which sits on an extinct volcano, or head to Princes Street for shopping and wandering around on your own to soak in the city's history.

Edinburgh to Scottish Highlands
You'll start in Edinburgh and head toward the Scottish Highlands with a stop in St. Andrews, known as the birthplace of golf and home to Scotland's oldest university. The route takes you through rugged mountain scenery, and once you arrive in the Highlands, you can learn about native wildlife reintroduction efforts. If you're interested, there's an option to try traditional Highland games during the afternoon.

Scottish Highlands to Glasgow
Travel down from the Highlands to Loch Ness, the UK's most voluminous lake. You'll board a cruise on the loch and visit the rewilding center to learn how native animals are brought back to the area. There's an optional canoe trip across the southern end if you want to see more wildlife. By evening, head to Glasgow for dinner and your overnight stay.

Check out The Kelpies, a 100ft-tall horse statue engineering project in Helix Park. Later explore Glasgow's live music scene, gothic cathedral, and quirky character. There's an optional traditional meal with live music if you want to celebrate your final Scottish night.
