Itinerary
- Day 1
Marrakech to Merzouga
This morning you'll leave Marrakech and head into the High Atlas Mountains, driving east toward the desert. First stop is a local village where you can have traditional Moroccan breakfast and get a feel for how people live in the region. From there, the drive takes you through Tizi n'Tichka pass, which offers some great views of the surrounding peaks and valleys. By midday you'll reach Dades Valley, where you'll stop for lunch and walk around to see the dramatic landscapes and rock formations. After lunch, you continue through Draa Valley on the way to Merzouga. Once you arrive in the late afternoon, you'll head out on a camel for an evening ride across the dunes to catch the sunset, then head back to your luxury camp where dinner and an overnight stay await you under the stars.

Merzouga to Marrakech
You'll get up early to watch the sunrise over the dunes from the camp, then have breakfast before setting out on another camel ride back toward Merzouga. From there, the drive back to Marrakech begins, but you'll make a stop in the oasis town of Tinghir for lunch and a chance to relax a bit. The route takes you back through the Atlas Mountains, basically retracing the way you came yesterday, with the scenery being just as nice on the return. You should pull into Marrakech by late afternoon or early evening, wrapping up your two-day desert trip.
