Itinerary
- Day 1
Hobart to Queenstown
Start your day at Hobart's Salamanca Market and grab breakfast on your own before heading north. You'll drive through Mount Field National Park to see Russell Falls, where you can walk among the tall trees around the falls. From there, continue west to Lake St Clair, which is Australia's deepest freshwater lake and worth seeing. Later you'll reach Franklin-Gordon Wild Rivers National Park for some shorter scenic walks along the Franklin River and a stop at Nelson Falls. Before wrapping up, check out the buttongrass plains and views of Mt Lyell, then explore the historic sites of Iron Blow and Horsetail Falls. You'll end the day in Queenstown for the night.

Queenstown to Tullah
After breakfast, board a cruise along the Gordon River through Macquarie Harbour toward Hells Gates. You'll stop at Sarah Island to explore the historic convict settlement, then take a leisurely boardwalk through World Heritage rainforest where ancient Huon pines tower overhead. Lunch happens on board the boat. Later, travel to Tullah and check into your lakeside chalet with views of Lake Rosebery and Mount Murchison. End with a group dinner at the accommodation.

- Day 3
Tullah to Launceston
This morning, grab breakfast before heading into Cradle Mountain National Park. You'll walk the boardwalk at Ronny Creek hunting for wombats, then loop around Dove Lake for views of glacially carved peaks and alpine vegetation (roughly 2 hours). After that, drive to Sheffield to see its famous murals and street art throughout town. From there, continue to Launceston for the night (about 90 minutes from Sheffield).

Launceston to St Helens
Start near Launceston at Cataract Gorge nature reserve, which sits just minutes from the city. Then head to Bay of Fires (Larapuna) and walk the white sands of Cosy Corner North, where turquoise water meets rust-colored boulders (60 miles, 1.5 hours). Spend time wandering the beach and taking photos. By evening, reach the fishing village of St Helens, where you can grab fresh seafood for dinner.

St Helels to Eaglehawk Neck
You'll explore Freycinet National Park starting at Honeymoon Bay, where pink granite peaks of the Hazards Mountains rise up. Next, walk to Wineglass Bay Lookout for views of the crescent white sand beach below (about 30 minutes). From there, continue to Cape Tourville for panoramic views of the Tasman Sea and the coastline. The drive down the peninsula takes about 2 hours total. Finish the day at your accommodation in Eaglehawk Neck.

Eaglehawk Neck to Hobart
Early on, check out the geometric patterns of Tessellated Pavement at Eaglehawk Neck, then visit Tasman Arch and Devil's Kitchen in Tasman National Park (30 minutes from your accommodation). Next, stop at a local wildlife sanctuary to see Tasmanian devils and native animals. After lunch, head to Port Arthur Historic Site to walk through the convict settlement and see the colonial buildings and grounds (45 minutes from the sanctuary). On your way back to Hobart, stop in Richmond to explore the historic bridges and buildings (about 1 hour drive from Port Arthur). You'll arrive back in Hobart by evening.
