Itinerary
- Day 1
Las Vegas to Grand Canyon National Park
An 8am pickup gets you started from the Palms Casino in Las Vegas, and you'll head straight to Hoover Dam for some photos and a quick look around. After that, the drive takes you out on Historic Route 66 toward Williams, which gives you time to see what the old highway is all about. Once you hit the Grand Canyon, you've got choices: hike along the rim if you want something moderate, go down into the canyon for a more serious trek, or just grab a bite at one of the rim cafes and take it easy. Later in the afternoon, you'll make your way to a quieter sunset spot that doesn't have all the typical crowds, then head to dinner in Tusayan or spend the evening hanging around the campfire.
