Marseille to Arles
You'll arrive at Marseille Airport and head to your ship docked in Arles. If you've booked a group or private transfer, a Uniworld representative will be waiting to take you directly to the ship.

Arles
Start exploring Arles, the sun-filled Provençal town that inspired Van Gogh's work. You'll walk through streets that date back to the 6th century BC when Greeks founded the area, then check out where Romans built their first bridge across the Rhône River.

Avignon

Tournon and Tain-l'Hermitage
Later you'll reach the twin villages of Tournon and Tain-l'Hermitage, a great spot for wine lovers. Walk through Tournon's past including the 10th-century hilltop castle, Renaissance buildings, and a 14th-century church, then choose between a leisurely stroll with wine tasting or a hike through the Hermitage terrace vineyards.

Beaune to Paris
After disembarking the S.S. Catherine, you'll transfer to Paris on the high-speed TGV train. Once in Paris, you'll board the S.S. Joie de Vivre to continue along the Seine River.

Vernon and Giverny
Start with northern France's natural beauty and trips to châteaux and landscapes that inspired Claude Monet. You can take a scenic hike or visit Château de La Roche-Guyon with its beautiful gardens and Seine views. After that, explore Monet's gardens at Giverny by bike or coach.
