Fantastic trip, india is a lovely place and with this tour we got to see a lot of the highlights in a short space of time. Everything was well organised and accommodation was great. As there wasn’t anyone else booked on we had a private tour which meant we could make the most of our guides knowledge of the country. Our guide Surej was great! I would recommend this trip!

The tour was overall great. We were only 2 (me and my wife) so the tour became private-like tour. We were assigned one guide that stayed with us through the whole trip (whose specialty was Delhi) and when going to specific location outside of Delhi, a guide specific to that location was there to talk about that new place. Good: -The places visited through the tour are varied enough to avoid feeling fed up with some specific type of architecture. -The two drivers during the tour (1 for Delhi-Jaipur-Agra, 1 for Varanasi) were also good (especially the first one) -The main guide was there to answer any question we had and was quite friendly and being next to him in the overnight-train was quite a relief. If you want to buy something specific, exchange money to rupees and so on, just ask the guide where to go. He'll be able to find the good places instead of tourist-traps. -The food we ate in the hotel was good. The breakfasts were mostly indian-style breakfasts so do not expect bacon, sausage and eggs. The lunch and dinner were mainly eaten independently from the tour. Less good: -Aside from Delhi, although the itinerary does mention "free evening" after arriving in Jaipur, the arrival was around 11-11:30am and the guide told us we were going to take a couple hour break then go with the driver around the city. A couple of hour later, when going to ask when we left, we were told the plan was to leave at around 5:30pm-6:00pm due to the heat outside. Since staying inside our hotel for 6h felt a bit like a waste of time, we ended up going by ourselves in the city and cancelled the evening plans, but the communication about the actual schedule was sometimes not so clear. This might have been due to the fact that the temperature outside was 40-45degrees as we went in April. Miscellaneous: -Although the overnight wasn't really a "great" experience (we departed on time but arrived 3 hours late in Varanasi, the beds are not really made for tall people, ...), it really felt like an experience and both me and my wife are glad we did it. We will probably take the plane next time, but try the train the first time!
