Itinerary
- Day 1
Tokyo to Hokkaido
You'll start things off meeting your CEO and group in Tokyo for a morning briefing. After that, head to the airport for your flight to Memanbetsu in Hokkaido. Once you arrive, a transfer takes you to your hotel near Shiretoko National Park where you'll have dinner with the group.

Shiretoko National Park
After breakfast, you're heading to the Five Lakes area in Shiretoko National Park where you'll see mountain views and wilderness formed by an old Mount Lo eruption. During the afternoon, take a short walk over to Furepe Waterfall that drops right into the Okhotsk Sea.

Shiretoko National Park
Another morning brings a guided hike through the Primeval Forest in this UNESCO World Heritage Site. The three to four hour trek takes you through areas where you might spot Steller's sea eagles and Japanese deer, with dramatic cliff edges overlooking turquoise waters. The afternoon is yours to relax at the hotel's hot spring or walk into the nearby village (about 20 minutes away).

Lake Akan Area
You'll leave Shiretoko and head inland toward Lake Akan. Stop at active volcano Mt Lo inside the Kussharo caldera to watch steam and smoke rising. At Lake Kussharo's shore, dig your own hot spring in the sand. Later, catch views from the observatory deck before staying at a traditional ryokan. That evening, a cultural performance features Ainu ceremonial dance, contemporary movement, and digital art.

Lake Akan to Asahikawa
Take a leisurely morning at the ryokan soaking in hot springs again or joining your CEO for a walk around Lake Akan. Then make your way toward Asahikawa. You'll have dinner trying the famous Asahikawa ramen that's known throughout Japan as some of the country's best.

Daisetsuzan National Park
Time to hike at Daisetsuzan Asahidake. A ten minute gondola ride takes you to where you'll start walking. Spend a couple hours exploring on foot with chances to see mountain ranges as fog rolls in and out.

Sapporo
You arrive in Sapporo, Hokkaido's capital, with a free day ahead. Choose to join your CEO on a half day cycling tour of nearby Otaru with its historical sites, or walk to Hokkaido Jingu shrine, a Shinto shrine honoring four deities.

Sapporo
Start your day at Nijo Market walking through stalls of fresh seafood from the Hokkaido coast, seeing crabs, fish, fresh urchin, and fish eggs. Afterward, head to Sapporo Beer Museum, the birthplace of the first Japanese made beer, where you can sample brews found only there.

Sapporo to Kyoto
You're heading south on a domestic flight from Sapporo to Kyoto. The afternoon is at your pace after you arrive, so you can either join your CEO and group for dinner in the city or explore on your own.

Start with one of Kyoto's iconic hikes between Kurama village and Kibune. You'll wind through a forested canopy and visit Yuki shrine and Kurama-dera temple along the way.

Kyoto
Begin your final Kyoto day at Fushimi Inari shrine. Walk for around two hours under vibrant torii gates along the various trails there. While it's popular, the wide views across Southern Kyoto make the trip worthwhile. The afternoon is free for you to explore Kyoto on your own.

Kyoto to Okinawa
Your island hopping starts with a domestic flight to Naha airport in Okinawa. From there, private transport heads north toward Yanbaru National Park. This remote area sits off the typical tourist path and feels like a place most travelers don't reach.

Yanbaru National Park
Walk through Yambaru Forest on the Ibe-dake Forest Trail Trek spotting local plants and animals with your guide. After a picnic lunch, move to the seaside for sea kayaking to Yasuda Island. You'll have dinner with your group after this active day.

Okinawa to Ishigaki Island
You're heading south to Ishigaki Island, technically part of Okinawa but closer to Taiwan than mainland Japan. Join your CEO and fellow travelers for dinner sampling authentic Okinawan food.

Ishigaki Island
In the Hirakubo Peninsula on northern Ishigaki, board a Sabani, a traditional Okinawan sailboat hand carved from hollowed logs. Cruise along the peninsula shores with options to snorkel over coral reefs or simply take in the natural environment. These boats hold only six people, giving you a rare chance to experience authentic Okinawan culture.

Taketomi Island
Taketomi Island sits just off Ishigaki Port as part of Iriomote-Ishigaki National Park. Surrounded by coral reef, the island has coral walls and structures creating a unique look. Explore the central Ryukyu village full of red tiled roofs and tropical flowers by bicycle to see as much as you can of this place.

Iriomote Island
You're heading west to Iriomote Island. Spend the day kayaking through mangrove areas, spotting birds and local plants found nowhere else. After exploring, you can choose to join your CEO and group for a farewell dinner back in Ishigaki.
