This temple sits hidden in the jungle and most of it remains unrestored, so you get that real jungle feeling walking through the complex. You'll spend the night near Beng Mealea.

- Day 2
Kampong Thom
Today pushes deeper into rural Cambodia on off-road trails that wind through dense forests, rice paddies, and small villages. Sambor Prei Kuk temple complex is your main stop, a UNESCO site that's actually older than Angkor Wat and sits surrounded by forest. After exploring there, you'll ride to Kampong Thom, a provincial town where you can see how Cambodians live at a slower pace. Your guesthouse overnight gives you a chance to settle in and reflect on the day's riding.

Preah Khan
This is the real off-road day. Dirt tracks take you through forests, farmland, and remote villages heading toward Preah Khan temple complex in Kompong Svay, one of Cambodia's largest temple sites and rarely visited by tourists. The ruins spread out across jungle landscape, so you'll have plenty to explore. A local homestay near the temple gives you the night, and you'll get a genuine feel for life in this remote part of Cambodia.

Kampong Cham
You're riding toward Kampong Cham now, heading through remote off-road trails that pass small farming communities. These roads give you chances to interact with local villagers and see traditional life. As you approach Kampong Cham on the Mekong River, the landscape shifts to riverside vegetation and feels more lush. Wat Nokor is your cultural stop here, an ancient Angkorian temple that's now part of a working Buddhist monastery. The overnight keeps you by the river.

Phnom Penh
The final day takes you from Kampong Cham to Phnom Penh following the Mekong River on a mix of smooth dirt roads and scenic riverside paths. As you get closer to the capital, rural scenery gradually shifts to Phnom Penh's urban environment and you'll arrive by afternoon. That finishes your 5-day off-road adventure, and you'll have time to check out cultural sites like the Royal Palace and Wat Phnom or just relax after the ride.
