Itinerary
- Day 1
Phnom Penh to Oudong to Kampong Chhnang
Your dirt bike adventure starts north from Phnom Penh heading toward Oudong, the ancient capital. You'll ride through rural paths and small villages, then climb up to hilltop temples where you can see views out across the plains. After that, the route continues to Kampong Chhnang, which is known for its pottery workshops and floating villages on Tonle Sap lake. You'll settle into a guesthouse there for the night.

Kampong Chhnang to Pursat
After breakfast, you're heading through rice paddies and remote villages on dirt tracks toward Pursat. There are stops planned at local pottery villages so you can watch traditional techniques being made. As you get closer to Pursat, you'll ride near Tonle Sap lake and have a chance to take a boat tour through the floating communities if you want. The day mixes off-road riding with visits to local areas before you stay overnight in Pursat.

Pursat to Battambang
Today's ride takes you to Battambang, passing through rugged terrain, rice fields, and rural communities along the way. You'll stop at some lesser-known temples and shrines scattered through the countryside. Once in Battambang, there's time to walk around the French colonial architecture, check out local markets, and ride the famous bamboo train. Wat Ek Phnom sits nearby, a peaceful 11th-century temple surrounded by old trees, and you'll spend the night in this laid-back city.

Leaving Battambang, you'll ride toward Sisophon on rural paths and off-road trails that cut through Cambodia's farming communities. The route shows you lush rice fields and distant mountains stretching across the landscape. Sisophon itself is a quiet provincial town where you get a real sense of everyday rural Cambodian life. You'll stay the night here to rest before heading toward the remote temple areas ahead.

Sisophon to Beng Mealea
The route heads toward Beng Mealea, one of Cambodia's most mysterious and less-visited temple complexes. You'll take rugged off-road trails through dense jungle and remote villages in the quiet, untouched parts of the country. When you arrive at the massive temple complex, it's really something to see, with trees and vines growing through crumbling stone structures everywhere. Spend the afternoon walking through hidden corners, looking at the intricate carvings, and taking in the peaceful surroundings before staying nearby overnight.

Beng Mealea to Siem Reap
The final leg runs from Beng Mealea to Siem Reap, which serves as the gateway to Angkor's temples. You'll ride through scenic countryside and rice fields on dirt roads, passing through small villages along the way. The landscape gradually shifts from rural farmland to the busier energy of Siem Reap as you approach. You should arrive by afternoon, finishing your 6-day journey through Cambodia's landscapes, remote temples, and off-road trails.
