Itinerary

  1. Day 1

    Milan Airport Arrival

    Your driver meets you at Milan Malpensa Airport and takes you to your hotel for a private transfer. Get settled in and start getting ready for your Italian experience.

  2. Day 2

    Milan

    The morning is yours to rest at the hotel or wander around Milan on your own. Around 14:30, you'll join a three-hour walking tour through central Milan. You'll see historical gates, elegant gardens, La Scala opera house, Milan Cathedral, and Castello Sforzesco fortress. After the tour wraps up, there's a typical aperitivo at a local bakery, then more free time to explore or head back to your hotel.

    Milan to St Moritz (Switzerland) to Milan

    After breakfast, you'll transfer to Tirano near the Swiss border to board the Bernina Express heritage railway. The 100-year-old train has guaranteed panoramic seats as it travels through mountain tunnels and alpine villages across the Italian and Swiss Alps. You arrive in St Moritz with time to check out the resort town before heading back by coach to Milan for a relaxed evening.

The city splits into two parts: the modern lower town and the medieval upper town perched above. Your evening is free to check out the area.

  5. Day 5

    Bergamo to Lake Garda to Sirmione to Riva del Garda to Bergamo

    Lake Garda, Italy's largest, is your destination today. Start with a panoramic tour of the west coast, seeing the UNESCO-listed Brenta Dolomites and Moraine Hills. You'll have a chance to try local olive oil or wine, then visit Sirmione for a short boat tour to see the castle and the ruins of Catullus's Villa. After free time for lunch at a local restaurant, you'll return to Bergamo with a stop in Riva del Garda to see its Venetian-style historic center.

    Drive to Verona for a guided walking tour that covers Roman history and Renaissance buildings. You'll see Juliet's Home and the famous balcony from Romeo and Juliet. On the way back to Milan, stop in the Franciacorta wine region for included lunch and wine tasting. The evening in Milan is free for relaxing or exploring.

In the afternoon, you'll meet for a boat tour through the Navigli district with its famous canals. The cruise along Naviglio Grande includes a cocktail and snacks while you pass historic buildings, galleries, and landmarks like San Cristoforo sul Navigli church and the 18th-century Vicolo dei Lavandai. Your last night in Milan is free.
