  2. Day 2

    Athens

Your day starts with guided sightseeing through ancient Athens, hitting Syntagma Square, the Temple of Zeus, and the Panathenaic Stadium. After that you'll head to the Acropolis, one of those sites you've probably seen in photos countless times. The afternoon and evening are completely free, so you can wander back through neighborhoods, grab lunch at a taverna, or just soak in the history at your own pace.

Today is entirely yours on Mykonos. You can hit the beaches, wander through the town, or check out the 16th-century windmills perched on the hillsides. It's the kind of day where you can move as slowly as you want, have a long lunch, and just absorb the island's vibe without any scheduled activities pulling you in different directions.

Overall the tour was great and the tour guide very knowledgeable. The hotel in Pamukkale was a let down. A poorly managed hotel. The guide would have done well to remember that some of the group were quite old and not as agile or fast on their feet as others, and not relied on some of us on the tour to look out for those people while he was paying attention to the younger, single women in the group.
